As it is now bow season where I live, what is everyone's dream bow/crossbow/rifle /shotgun/muzzleloader for any species? For myself I would like a hoyt rx4, ten point invader 400, custom rem 700/win 94, rem v3, and rem 700 ultimate muzzleloader.

Classic looks and design with a modern cartridge. Double rifle in 7-08 regulated to 200 yards. Maple stock. thats the ultimate North American game rifle. I wouldn’t want to chase bruins with it, but it would be good for absolutely everything else. 200 yard regulation makes for easier long shots for open range and mountain critters.

C'mon...my custom 308 Norma Mag is my "dream gun for hunting" of course - at least for every species of big game I'm ever going to hunt in this life. I had it built as my retirement gift to myself when I turned 62 (10 years ago), and I paid for it with my first 2 Social Security payments.;)
On the other hand, the thumbnail below is a picture of my wife's retirement gift to herself. It cost 10 to 12 times as much as my custom 308 Norma Mag with scope.:what:

I always wanted to build a Fusil de Chasse kit.
Also a crossbow for next year.

I'd like to build off of a big horn: 6.5 leopard, 24-28" suppressed stainless varmint barrel, adjustable stock, equipped with a nice bipod and I'm still debating on the scope lol. I'd mostly run the 156s out of it, for EVERYTHING. I already have most of my hopes and dreams covered, just gotta check that one off the list eventually.

Rem700/clone action, 24" carbon fiber barrel, 300WSM, AICS mags, carbon fiber stock, Ti suppressor. 3-10x FFP Mildot scope with capped turrets. In the field I don't like the exposed target turrets all Mildot scopes have.

If I could keep that whole package under 8.5 pounds I'd be real happy.

The Bushnell nitro has ffp capped turrets, I picked one up specifically for turning my r1 into what I think you're looking for, power range is in line as well, my r1 is a bit on the heftier side, but it's my prairie stalker rifle as it's currently setup.

The reticle is a little busy, and it's a little heavier than I'd like. But it does check alot of boxes for me!

Xbow- PSE fang 350, ML- Traditions inline buckstalker, rifle- Ruger American predator in 6.5 CM, with Vortex 4-12 copperhead for most hunting and Horus 5-20 falcon for hunting out west, shotgun- Mossberg 930 with duck and turkey barrels. Coincidentally, these are what I own. They work fine for what I use them for, and a lot more. No need to "upgrade" or otherwise replace any of them with anything else. I guess that makes them "dream gear". But I am looking forward to taking a deer with my iron sighted Krag carbine this year. Just because I have never done it.

7.5 ruger blackhawk in 41 mag. Maybe a lever to go with it. Been hunting that pistol for year's. Settled on a 44 mag.

I bought it a couple weeks ago. I may pick up archery again next year and I’ll have to see what’s on the market by then, but for now, I’m a rifle only kind of guy. I’ve wanted a Ruger No. 1 International since I was a kid. My dad wanted one for years, but would never spend the money. When I found this one in 30-06 in unfired condition, I had to have it. I’m looking forward to putting it through it’s paces tomorrow while I’m off work. CF1E4B30-1624-4F03-9CB8-D802435CDB69.jpeg
