I know most don't keep track but for those who have got a loose estimate what would yours be? I have a M&P 9 Full Size (First Gen) that has roughly 14-15 thousand rounds through it. I have heard of some running well over 100k through certain revolvers or glocks.

Mechanical durability of firearms is one of my favorite things to look at, so anyone feel free to chime in!

I didn't keep a detailed log, but I put about 2000 rounds of moderately loaded .38 Special through this gun each week for several years. The calculator tells me that's several hundred thousand rounds, mostly rapid fire. I consider the gun essentially worn out at this point. The rifling is shallow - and nearly missing at the lede - and the whole gun rattles when you shake it. On the other hand, I still occasionally shoot it for old time's sake and it still hits well enough for everything except the 50 yard accuracy stage. It no longer is any sort of precision target gun, but I have had guns new from the factory which would not do as well.

I had a ruger mk3 that easily had 25,000 rds through it in a little over a year, that was my highest , I sold it for $20 less than I paid for it after that, still looked great and shot as well as new. my gp100 is probably about 15,000 rds but I stopped keeping track , it's my primary range gun and what I grab anytime there's going to be some shooting. Competition shooters fire many many times that amount and I don't consider 15,000 a high count but it's probably my highest round count gun currently.

I have a Glock 17 that had 150K on it when the rear rail broke. Glock fixed it and Im still shooting it. Well, the barrel and slide anyway, those are the only original parts, they rebuilt the rest of the gun. :)

I also have a 26 that had over 26K on it when I quit counting a couple of years back. Still shooting that about once a week these days too. No idea whats on it now.

I have a Taurus PT1911 with somewhere between 28k and 30k rounds through it. It disassembled itself somewhere north of 25,000 rounds and had to be rebuilt, so now it's a Taurus/Springfield PT1911! Still shoots great though.

There is an H&R 900 series 22lr revolver (939 Maybe?) in our family that must have 25-30,000 rounds through it, maybe more. It was my uncle"s and then my Dad's. My 12 brothers and sisters all shot it and most of their kids and then some of their kids have shot it too.

H&K tested their p30 series with over 96,000 rounds B4 any problems, Quality weapons and proper maintenance, along with proper storage, will produce an heirloom gun for sure.

i have an AR with around 22K through it, plus another 4k or so in 22lr. Its the highest round count I have. Second is a Springfield GI with around 8K. The AR has some heavy scars on the inside of the upper and buffer from the 22lr kit, but otherwise looks, works fine. Accuracy of both is still good.

My Glock 34 has about 9,000 rounds through it and a 1992 vintage Colt AR that has about 4,500 down the pipe.

I’m not a high (or even mid) level competitive shooter at all, so my guns won’t have Anywhere near the numbers that the others put through theirs. :)

Stay safe.

15K through my Ruger MKIII 22/45 and it's started giving me fits so I replaced the upper. I think the rear of the barrel has flaked/chipped away and is allowing light/partial strikes. I get WEIRD squibs, hangfires, and misfires with ammo that doesn't misbehave in other guns. It makes me sad because I absolutely love the pistol and it was 100% for 10K rounds with no cleaning other than wiping down the bolt every few thousand rounds.

I probably have 15-20K through my P226 but I haven't kept count. I have a documented 12K through my M&P CORE 9L so far.

Glock 23, 30K. Since 2003. I wore it as my service gun and then bought it from the department.
Parts and upgrades along the way, but still the same gun.

I have many centerfire guns and switch them around but when my sons were teenagers, we shot a S&W 22A a lot. A brick of 550 was $6.97, later increased by a whole Dollar. Every twenty thousand rounds the firing pin broke, the sight rib had a cast hook that broke around 40,000 rounds. At a little past 60,000 the frame cracked and at that time S&W could just replace it with a frame of the same serial number after I sent the broken frame in. They also changed the springs at that time. The last firing pin broke around 80,000 rounds and when we were around 110,000 rounds, we pretty much retired the gun.
Since then I have around 35,000 rounds through my favorite Korth .22 l.r.

I have a Glock 17 that is well over the 100K mark. At some point, a rear slide rail broke but the gun was still functioning. Glock replaced the frame and rebuilt the pistol free. I also wore out the mag release on that pistol and replaced it myself. I have a Rock River AR I bought about 20 years ago that I have completely burned out 3 barrels with- first the original Rock River, followed by 2 GI barrels. The last time a barrel gave up, I replaced the entire upper with a mid length complete upper PSA had on sale for less than $300. It is my instructor/training gun. I have also broken hammer and trigger pins, dropped a hammer J-pin, broke a cam pin, sheared a bolt lug, broken the ejector spring into about 6 pieces, replaced the gas rings many times, broken the front pivot pin, wore a perfect impression of the bolt lugs into the bolt stop, and wore large grooves into 2 buffers on that gun. I decided to nickname it "clunky". About the only original part still remaining on it is the lower. It is a true "frankenstein" gun, since it has been brought back from the dead so many times with whatever was available. If I were to consider using it for anything other than a range toy, I would scrap everything except the lower and start fresh. Couldn't even begin to guess the round count on that thing. It was my instructor gun during a period when ammo was very plentiful and totally free.

I am on the extreme low end compared to everyone else. I think I’ve fired over 1k rounds through exactly one gun that I have owned and I don’t think it got to 2k before I sold it. I don’t hang onto guns very long.

Though mostly from my IPSC days, decades ago. My Series 70 1911 is well north of 60,000.
My carry now.
