The bass pro shops in San Antonio still had some powder available mid afternoon. A few bottles of HS-6, 700X, and Superperformance. I just went in mostly on a whim to let our 2 year old watch the fish. I managed to get out with a pound of HS-6 to try for heavy 20 gauge field loads after using up all the old stockpile of SR 7625 and Win 540.

still no primers in sight, but I’ve got a decent supply of those at the rate I’ve been shooting lately.

MidwayUSA has M193 bullets, limit of 2,000 per custom for about the next 4 minutes. I just ordered a thousand.

I just got back from the Bass Pro Shop in San Antonio, here's what the powder and primers section looks like.

It's actually the largest vareity of powder I've seen in stock there since I started my path with reloading earlier this year.

The sign about asking about primers is a good inside joke as I've only once seen an actual store employee be present at the knife counter was a while ago when I chased down an employee showing him their website showed primers in stock but unavailable to purchase online for store pickup and invisible on the primer rea shelf stickers. Since he realized that I wasn't going to go away with his explanation "That's an error at Corporate, it has nothing to do with store staff." He fished up a set of keys and opened some cabinet drawers in the wall behind the knife counter where lay only empty husks of 1K packages that had once housed 100 packs of primers. True to form, there was no store employee at, or even near, the knife counter today when I was there. I picked up my most recent online order from the counter for that and left.

Those look like the same ones that were there yesterday too. I guess they aren’t moving that fast now.
I hadn't noticed the sign directing seekers of primers to the knife counter before but the last several times I've been there I've simply picked up my online orders from that counter and left without browsing after checking in at the online orders counter.

I'm glad to see some more stuff starting to show as available at scattered Academy Sports and Outdoors stores but I'm very skeptical the supply chain has turned a corner for the better in this sector.

Well you know where to go to find it in stock on the shelf, it's not something I'm personally interested in so you'll have no competition from me for it. I'm just shy of declaring myself "comfortable" WRT primers and powders.

WE have a store locally that always has powder and other components except primers of course. But they get a shipment every week of most of them. One box of 1K per person. They last about half the day! They get them on the same day the owner told me. But they put them out on different days and tell no one when they are going to put them out so that no one can be out waiting in line before they open to grab them. Pretty ingenious if you ask me to make sure that as many customers as possible get a chance at some! I've got 3K SPP primers from them by just stopping by in the last 3-4 months and lucked out!

I wish more companys would do something similar, so everyone gets something and the hoard and sell at max price people get it in the shorts.

The hoard & resell at Market Price crowd would find their ways to work around it. What would prevent a group of such folks having one or more members at each such shop every business day?

Guys that are reselling primers aren’t standing outside the LGS to buy a box of primers. They are online buying 5k -10k at a time. The guys at the LGS are stocking up on what they think they will need to wait out the shortage. Primers are available. They’re just not making it to the local shelves.

And nobody said they were but if such a system was widely implemented as @dcarr wishfully posted, to include online purchases (widely) they very well might be. But we all know that's never going to happen in the first place.

This reminds me of the last 22lr ammo shortage. Guys would line up with their camp chairs at 4:00am outside of Walmart waiting for the doors to open at 6:00 am. Walmart limited the amount that could be purchased to 3 boxes and removed 22lr ammunition from their website in an effort to prevent guys from knowing what stores would be receiving it. However, the smart guys developed search engines that tapped into Walmart's delivery system and could identify which stores were getting a 22lr shipments each day. A $6.99 100rd box of CCI HP Minimags were selling for $25 a box. 5,250 rd cases of Federal Champion were selling from $750-$900 on GunBroker. That shortage took 2-3 years before prices stabilized and 22lr started to appear on shelves again.

I did get 2 Pounds of Powder through BPS locally. $10.00 off and No Hazmat Charge or Shipping.(Thanks to the Person who posted it.) Have Not Found any Primers except Lg Rifle Mag in months!

I have a box of Winchester Small Pistol that are 1972 mfg. Load some yesterday to Test. I'll say this, evidently in the Primers in 1972 were larger in size!

RMR has, ATM,116998 projectiles IN STOCK as of 10-15-2020 at 12:57 central time
9mm 124 Gr. Full Metal Jacked Round Nose Bullets

These must be from a different manufacturer, rather than made by RMR based on the backlog of orders RMR currently has. I looked back to see if anyone had posted this in the thread but didn't find one. If I missed it and someone listed this already, I am sorry for the repetitive post.
