For many years a restaurant in Key Largo had what they claimed was the actual boat used in Bogart's African Queen movie out near the road where everyone could take a look as they drove by. Don't believe it was any more than about $5 worth of badly weathered wood...

Guess it's the mystique they're selling - but not to me. I have little patience for tools that aren't working properly whether it's a boat or a handgun...
 
Ain't much for adventuring if it's incapable of being shot. Also hard to believe that the gun would bring ten times the amount that the iconic Fedora did. But then I ain't the sharpest stick in the woods.

According to this there were two boats built and used in the movie. Thanks for mentioning it. I would have never looked it up or learned anything about it.
