True, but dirtbags don’t need my money...now or in the future.

And you are making some big assumptions- the main one that prices will come down; the second that shows like that will even be allowed in the future; the third that we will still have the ability to buy ammo over the net or without B/G checks or through FFLs only

Depending on how this election goes, these prices might not come down at all. In fact they may go up if you have to purchase everything in person.

I picked up a thousand small pistol primers at a gun shop for 50 bucks and thought I got ripped off. LOL

Just a month or so ago I picked up 2K large rifle primers for $42 per K and was glad to get them. Allows me to load my new 6.5CM. Around that same time, I passed thru Steam Boat Spirngs, CO and found the same primers for $90. Looks like they are going up.

Look around. Last week my local Scheels had 1902 rounds of Federal 40 gr. .22Lr for $120. I bought four boxes of 115 gr brass-cased Fiocchi for $11.99/bx.
Last Sat. a buddy bought 5000 SPP for $250 at a LGS.
Stuff is out there, you just have to be lucky with the timing.

Having been a shooter/reloader for 30+ years I have seen the cycles and acted appropriately. The ones I feel sorry for are the new to the game firearms owners that got caught with their pants down and nothing to buy. I have floated a couple of them a box or two of factory ammo to have with the cavat that that's all they get and they replace them when things improve.

And I disagree; primers at normal prices are very few and far between; most online ammo and reloading suppliers are out of stock on just about everything or have 2 month backlogs; this is NOT going away soon; not in 6 months, and maybe not in a year, and especially if the Left takes power.

The reason components are in short supply is because the makers make much more money for loaded ammo, so they are concentrating on getting ammo to the stores rather than components. This will end until the next panic. Rinse and repeat.

Supply and demand, whatever the market will bear. No one is forcing anyone to buy their overpriced wares. I'm okay with ammo, but that means not being able to shoot like I want, as I can't afford to pay the going prices right now to replace it, even if it can be found.

Prices may come down down after the election, but they may not if certain things do or do not happen. I wouldn't count on anything at the present.

I'm not going to stick my head between my legs and kiss my rear-end good bye. I'm in my seventh decade the current events are not new but rather reoccurring dependent on the political event/situations. I can weather this current political storm as I have others. The Sky is not falling thus all the Chicken Little's just calm down until the next end of the world event occurs.

Don't kid yourselves, this one is going to last a lot longer than previous ones. Too many issues all going on at the same time, 5M+ new gun owners. It's a new normal. People are buying single boxes of self defense ammo for over $1 a round and using it for target.

Had a $140 credit on my Cabela's card so stopped there this last weekend. Thought I might buy some ammo or put a dent in a gun purchase. I walked out with a bag of expensive stale candy. They had 5 boxes of Browning .22 LR ammo. $7.99 a box. No .223 or 9mm ammo, or .45 acp. Cheap .22 SA revolver @ $399 . It went down hill from there.

Well, sounds like I'm a 'chicken little' in this thread.

I'll stand by my post and we can all see how things are doing in 6 months, and then again next October.

The combination of anti 2A promises made to the left as stated on the B/H website, the open vindictiveness and prejudice shown by the left toward
2A supporters, and the simple reality that the common thing uniting most Americans (of all income brackets) that voted for Trump last election cycle
was guns lead me to think the buying/stocking up surge will run longer than in the past.

The good news is that if I'm the only one who sees it that way, prices
and availability of ammo and components will be back to normal in no time at all just like most of you are predicting
