I came across a stainless, half lug, 629-3 that appeared to be unfired for $900. The next gun on my list is most likely going to be a Colt King Cobra target model but man I love those .44’s. I had to force myself out of the store but man am I tempted to go back and grab it. I already see myself throwing some super walnut Altamont grips on it, talk me off the ledge!

Oh those grips would look nice ... especially on a matching pair ...

I love my 4" 629 "No Dash". I added night sights / Pachmayr Presentation grips and it lives in my nightstand at our home in bear land, frequently accompanying me outside.

When in doubt while contemplating making a purchase, be sure to ask someone who works there four simple words: "Do you have layaway?"

An unfired 629-3, for 900.00. You should be all over that. A Prelock Smith and Wesson in unfired condition, is a find. The new King Cobra is going to be available, that S&W will not be on the shelf, that long, for that price. Even if you decide to sell it later, you are not going to loose any money and may could turn a little profit.
