Quick poll on your CCW capacity. How often do you carry a concealed handgun with a capacity greater than 10 rounds (not including +1 in the chamber for semi-autos with 10 round magazines)?

I carry a 43x with the Shield Arms 15 round magazine. Living in the Chicago area, multiple attackers are not uncommon. The last two shootings in my suburb (we have one every year or two) involved four thugs in a car, and a car jacking at a mall close to us also involved four thugs. My suburb was also targeted by rioters and no one knows what's going to happen after this election. I'm going to avoid any area where there's civil unrest, but you can't know when it's going to find you.

I always carry more than ten. 15 rounds minimum and I will not be reducing my capacity with the social unrest possibly (probably) coming. As TomJ said, I'll avoid civil unrest but it might literally find you.

I have a plus one extension on my G43 so that gives me 8 rounds. Where I live out in the sticks that’s plenty. Now if I lived in a metropolitan area most definitely I would change my ccw weapon to a higher round count.

Always, a Glock 19/23/32 is my minimum carry (plus a spare mag).
If I was under a 10 round limit I'd carry a Glock 29/30SF or 1911
I live in a "good" area and had concealed carry for 25+ years, has no bearing on what I carry.
Nowhere would I prefer a 38 snub / pocket 380 in hand to defend myself rather than a Glock 19/23. Carry accordingly.

I don't own a handgun that holds more than 10 in the magazine. I do always carry an extra magazine or a couple of speed loaders, but if I need more than that in any situation that might occur, I figure I'm screwed anyway. Now, if I'm planning for war.....

If i lived somewhere else I might carry more. Id be just peachy with a 6 shot revolver. The odds of me actually seeing anyone is slim. "Town" to us is about a mile square. And most open carry. On interstate runs I sometimes take a Glock 22 mag and a spacer. On trips I may even carry the Glock 22. But 99% of my time is the Glock 27 or 329pd.

I voted "frequently". It would be wrong for me to vote always as there are times when I resort to a 6 + 1 9mm when I need to carry something small. 99.9% of the time I carry a 13 + 1 .40 with a 15 round spare magazine. I like the "compact size", not too big not too small.

Everything I carry EDC is at least 10 rds including the p32 for which I have 10 rd mags. Haven't looked back at less than 10 rds since I started carrying my p365's.

We do this same discussion every couple of months. Every time we do pretty much the same people say pretty much the same things.

I usually talk about the stoned crackheads who surrounded me one morning and made me decide the less than 10 rounds was not enough.

Since Coronageddon started I've been mostly carrying my Glock 26 with a 19 magazine as a reload for a 28 rounds total.

I don't remember exactly how I said it but in one of these arguments I said something to the effect that if I ever have to defend myself I don't want the bare minimum, I want more rounds than I will ever need. That hasn't changed.

You do you

Either 7 in the Officers Model, or 8 in the full size, plus a 10 rd backup mag for either, on a few occasions I add a second 10 round magazine.

Once, at a pickup match, when I hadn't brought enough mags to finish a stage with either pistol (40 rounds total on the stage), I ran it with the Full Size, and used the compact as a NYC reload.

I pocket carry at work. I'm sure I could buy a gun as small with a larger magazine, but I already have this one.
