I love 10mm, its one of my favorites.
I tend to work up 10mm to her full potential with 180gr. Jacketed slugs (Xtp and Hap mostly)using powders like power pistol and blue dot and up to their full published loads. Great results and great accuracy pretty much the whole spectrum. What do you all like to use?

Power Pistol with 200 gr. hardcast lead bullets works for me. Just don't use the same charge weight as other shooters without doing a work up from a starting load.

FWIW, I hate the term "pet load".

I have some 200gr bonded hp’s coming from RMR that I’m going to work up a power pistol load up for my G40. Should make for a great woods carry load.

800X under 180 gr XTP. Can’t list the powder weight though because it’s over the published max
I am in a similar situation, 800X under 180 and 200 gr XTP. A bit over published loads but very likely still well under SAAMI pressure for 10mm Auto. I push the 180gr to 1300 fps and the 200gr to 1250 fps.

I've chrono'd loads of 9.6 grains of 800 X at 1185 - that's a published figure and what I like to load. I've gone hotter but with the short barrel on my Glock 29 I don't see benefits accuracy wise. The 10mm Auto seems like such a sweet spot with not only the capability to push the bullets fast, but a good selection on bullets that perform well at high velocity.

Bullets were Laser Cast 200 gr and at 15 yards it shot 1" groups (My eyesight mostly at fault). Velocity averaged 1160 fps with an ES of 30 and SD of 13. Temp was 42*.

FWIW, one group shot an ES of 2 and SD of 1. Another shot an ES of 8 and SD of 5. So the powder is very consistent. Those groups just didn't give me the groups I wanted.

Try BE-86 in 10Auto for the best 180gr loads I've found. Very accurate and not uncomfortable to shoot.
Same here. I tried BE86, AA#9, Power Pistol, and Bluedot. The BE86 loads shot as well or better than the others, and is more economical since it used the least charge. I still want to try 800x but I’m not too fond of how that powder meters.

Longshot is indeed one of the best powders for the job for maximum velocity. Thanks for the recommendation.

Longshot. I won't say what my charge weight is because it's over max now according to both Hornady and Hodgdon. I will say that in the margin of my Hornady book next to longshot under the 180 gr XTP data, I have written that Hodgdon says 9.5 is max even though I see that Hodgdon now lists 8.4 as max. and apparently, this change has been noticed by others as well. so 9.5 gr was indeed listed as max by Hodgdon at one point.

It's the kinder gentler era.

I’m sure I can drive a 165 gr Gold Dot well into the high 1400’s but i fear I’d lose the full effect of the GD mushroom capability….

Im working up a 165 gr GD JHP load for my 3.8” Springfield XDM Elite for SD.

I like aa7 in 10mm, but I don’t go for for full out loads either. 1911 platform just can’t take that much power without damage. I get my 180s up around 1150 or 1200 (per book loads, still no chrono for me) and call it a day.

Here’s another Longshot load I’ve found.

Blue Dot and Longshot are my go-to 10mm powders, but as of recent, this:
Want me some BE86

Not an overpowering load, but I find it to be satisfactorily accurate using hardcast in my 10mms, and I get 1,272 fps from it in my 4" M610 with 1.260 COAL. It's a good'un.
Moving target book max is an increasing frustration. My favorite 10mm load is under the data in my books.....9 grains of Longshot under a 180 grain RMR fmj or Hornady Xtp. OAL of 1.250
