Texas HB127 and HB213 both have the same agenda, but one is flagged red and the other green. Just sayin'..

Otherwise, thanks for sharing. Despite having a state house, senate, and governorship that are all primarily "red", some of Florida is still waging war on its citizens.

Good catch, changed

DC - On those Missouri bills in RED, what is the likelihood that any of them will pass? I'm interested as I used to go to St. Louis monthly for a club meeting and hope to do so once this virus insanity is over.

Most of the restrictive bills are introduced every single year by the same group of legislators from the St Louis and Kansas City areas. They normally don't even make it out of committee. But that doesn't mean that we will let our guard down either. I am always on my state representative and senator to protect our rights.

EXACTLY 12 Bravo .. anyone that sits back and says 'oh they will never pass' is a fool. in our home state of 'PA" we have seen many do the same thing and they got their asses handed to them when the bill passed.

Never and I mean NEVER 'assume' a bill wont pass, the second you do is the second the gun grabbers win

Again GREAT post 12 Bravo!

If I'm reading this right, there seem to be a lot of similar/duplicate bills in TX

... and furthermore, none of them ever talk to any people knowledgeable about the stuff they want to regulate, resulting in some pretty nonsensical proposed bills.

So very true. I have seen a few bills introduced in Missouri over the years that try to make something illegal that already is illegal under the current laws. All just to get their names on a bill so they can tell people they did something.

I've already written both my State rep and my State Senator - letting them know that I'm watching and will vote against them should they not oppose every anti-2A bill. I listed each HB and SB individually.

Good on you!! That's exactly what to do. And keep up to speed. There's likely to be well over a hundred bills introduced in the House. My own current count of the bills intoduced to the session now ending in the House is 148. Count may vary depending on what you define as a 2A bill.

I can also tell you that contacting your representatives and senators directly yourself gets better results than the canned messages from the different gun rights groups. I will go to my representative's and senators' official congress website and use the "contact me" forms if they have them available.

I contact my state and federal elected officials on a regular basis. That helps remind them that they do work for the people. I have always gotten a response email and here lately I have actually gotten a phone call from someone in Sen Josh Hawley's office when I contact him.

Just remember to always be polite in your correspondence.

You have 6005 misidentified. It is a pro gun bill. It outright repeals FL 870.044, which is enacted whenever the Governor declares a State of Emergency.

870.044 Automatic emergency measures.—Whenever the public official declares that a state of emergency exists, pursuant to s. 870.043, the following acts shall be prohibited during the period of said emergency throughout the jurisdiction:
(1) The sale of, or offer to sell, with or without consideration, any ammunition or gun or other firearm of any size or description.
(2) The intentional display, after the emergency is declared, by or in any store or shop of any ammunition or gun or other firearm of any size or description.
(3) The intentional possession in a public place of a firearm by any person, except a duly authorized law enforcement official or person in military service acting in the official performance of her or his duty.

Nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed to authorize the seizure, taking, or confiscation of firearms that are lawfully possessed, unless a person is engaged in a criminal act.

You are correct, our synopsis was correct but someone hit the wrong grade button on it, thanks for poining it out

....Writing to them about the 2A will probably get me onto some 'list'.
No, most likely it'll just get you ignored. Concern about getting on some "list" shouldn't stop anyone from doing what they believe is right. Too much evil has been perpetrated in this world when people just tried to get out of its way but did nothing to stop it. The result was they ended up by being caught by it anyway.

Yeah - Lord only knows how many lists I'm on...how many we're ALL on. I've embraced it and no longer give a rip.
