I put the vx- freedom 2-7x36 I got from loonwulf on my cz carbine. I was going to run it on my ar-15 but my keep it on the cz at least until I do some load testing, just need some 7.62x39 dies and brass. The leopuld does feel nice on the cz tho.

Sorry, but didn’t finish. It’s a Meopta Optika 3-18 Scope on it. I plan on using it mostly at the range. Attached is a pic of a 5 shot group. I’ve put about 60 rounds down the barrel.

How do you like the Meopta scope? Have a buddy that has the Meopta Meostar spotting scope. The glass in his spotting scope is unbelievable.

Its HERE!

The wood is great! A few pics here to try and show it off. Not exhibition grade but plenty nice for a woods walking rifle. Action is slick, and the barrel is nicely free floated. And it has the new bottom metal for the shorter mags! This is a very nice, well balanced rifle. I am so excited, can't wait to shoot it!
I'm IMPRESSED! Beautiful wood!

Nice looking gun!

Now I've got to decide what scope I want on this thing! I think it deserves some higher power glass than I was initially planning...
I suggest you do give it enough glass to take advantage of the accuracy that it should be delivering. The 527s will shoot very well once you find the ammo that they like, but they can be pretty picky. I'm talking about 100 yard groups ranging from .3" to 1.5" depending upon the (factory) ammo you feed them.

There's a nice Sightron S-TAC 4-20x50 with their MOA-2 reticle that's being sold at a bargain on GB right now by the gigantic seller Sportsman Supply (auctions are ending at about $300) that should work well. I just bought one that I'm thinking of using in place of the Vortex Viper that I currently have on my 527 Varmint. I need to test and compare the two scopes a bit more closely, but I'm thinking that I like the Sightron better. The main thing that I don't like about the Vortex is that it has a Mil-Dot reticle, otherwise it's pretty decent. (Note, if you take a look at the above-mentioned S-TAC scope, be aware that the reticle subtensions are much finer than they appear in the online images/renderings. They look very coarse online, but in person they are really nice, IMO.)

Thanks for the info, I was looking at one of those sightrons. How much does it weigh?

I like it. Optically I think it’s one of the best deals out there. I got their FFP model with the 223 reticle. With my load the hash marks do not correspond with 100 yard increments though. In fact they’re not even close. On my next trip to the range I’ll figure out what distances they correspond too, and adjust.

I find that’s pretty common on scopes that offer reticles designed for specific cartridges.
