Checking a shop in King William Co. Virginia today for shotgun barrels and saw an older used Beeman Webley Temptest .177 air pistol. It came home with me. They are interesting, well made and compact. Rated at 420fps with barrel cocking the mainspring while pivoting forward. Trigger is adjustable too.

Mohican1, you have an excellent find in the Tempest. Exceptional accuracy. Well done. You will enjoy it. You did not mention if it is .177, my preference for targets and cats in the garden.

It is .177. Glad it's one of the earlier Beeman imports vice the last ones Turkish made. Quality is very good. Got it for about $60, it's worth 3x that today.

60.00!!!! yep ya stole that one! I have had several of them in .177 still have 2... mine are the made in England ones... they are not "match" guns and need some practice with them to be able to shoot them decently but there is no other spring or pump pellet gun as compact as a tempest

Was getting under 3in groups at 25yds resting my wrist against a tree tonight with crappy pellets. That 2x distance it's meant for.

Mohican1, my Tempest was made in England in 1980. I bought it new and feed it premium pellets. At 10 rounds all touch at 10 meters. If I do my part there are no flyers and pretty much all X. It is hard to miss with this. It was never meant as a 10-meter gun, but once sighted in it is a fine air gun. Enjoy, you have a great find to shoot.

At 57 I used to see these in Beemans catalog but never had the funds. When I saw it my heart skipped a beat and I acted coy and said how much for that old BB gun...

They are nice you got a great deal. I've always wanted one. If I ever find the Senior in good shape for a good price I'm snagging it.

Yea You Stole That one. Was Just getting ready to post about shooting Mine again. bought it New over 40 years ago. Just got it out a few weeks ago and am really enjoying getting re-acquainted with it. Padded box in the basement and the range is open. Lol. Ran it thru the crony and is shooting a little under 300fps. I ordered another breech seal and am considering changing that. It is Not the easiest pellet pistole to shoot, but if You do your part it is a fairly accurate and Fun plinker. With the cost of firearm ammo and the problems of getting any it is nice to have something to be able to get some serious practice shooting in. The recoil and the slower speed of the air pistol amplifies any flaws you may have in your own shooting style. I know that if I am hitting well with the tempest then I will be will be even more accurate with a center fire pistol. Incidentally I paid a little over a hundred dollars form mine way back then. Have fun with it. Mine really likes The Flat nose Hobby Pellet.

Fishingted let me know where to get the breech seal from. I don't have a chronograph presently but it's over 30yrs old I'm sure being a SanRafael Beeman import. Thank you.

got the seal from PyraydAir 10 bucks and very high shipping but Oh well I may need it.

Beeman Tempest. You got a great buy. I had a Tempest years ago. Traded it.
Very compact. Powerful for its size. Crude sights. Narrow uncomfortable trigger. For those who found it accurate, good for you. Mine was a gun plinker but not good enough for serious target work.
The P17 mentioned earlier is a very good buy. I have two that i use for new shooters.
