I finally bought my first AR 15 last summer and I'm a 42 year old pretty well off guy who's been into guns since the single digits. So obviously I don't perceive a huge need for one but I thought it and a box of good quality mags would be a prudent addition to my safe in an uncertain climate. Now that I've got that box checked, plus some handguns with potentially problematic capacity mags...there's not really any other gun I'd be interested in that I'd worry about being able to get going forward.

My next gun buy is probably going to be a lefty bolt hunting rifle for my oldest kid/daughter, probably in 243 or maybe 6.5 CM, so I guess I'll go with that one. She'll be 12 a year from this fall and yeah I'm a little excited...

Probably the ugliest pistol I have ever seen. The kel-tec P50 5.7X28 caliber that holds 50 rounds. Pretty impressive firepower.

If the op means if I can only have one, a good 22 rifle. I can do anything I need to do with one. I’ve pondered this many times and have always came to the same conclusion. And I can carry a lot of ammunition in a backpack should I have to be on the move. If you mean in addition to what I already have then it would be more ammunition/ reloading supplies for a select few of my guns.

Well I've already got all the lower receivers and most of the matched uppers I'll ever need, for the AR platform rifles at least, so if that's all that would get banned I guess I'd still be in good shape, as long as I was still able to buy the rest of the parts to build the rifles. Beyond that, I guess I would try to get a CZ Bren 2 12" pistol chambered in 7.62x39. I already have a Bren in 5.56.

As well as ten to twelve thousand pounds of powder, or at least a nicer ball mill setup than I had and a few sacks of KNO3 and pure sulfur, I can make the charcoal myself.(And its fun to do!)
A land cart may be useful too, but I imagine most of it’s time to be spent on the porch, pointed at the driveway, looking intimidating.

Oh they're readily available, they're all over Gunbroker and my local classifieds, you just have to be willing to pay asinine prices. I, for one, refuse to. A fool and his money, as they say...

How foolish is it to have everything EXCEPT primers and thus, no ammo?
