Irrational Exuberance—Empty Crimp Die Box on EBay

Dang! Since more of my dies have started living in toolheads I've got several empty boxes. This isn't a crisis, it's an opportunity!

Meh, you can buy them from midway too, though they are the general plastic boxes each company sells dies in. If I were needing a box for a loose single die, regardless of caliber, that box could be of use. Maybe a die someone got at a garage sale or something?

You really have to read the descriptions on e-bay. There are a lot of listings for empty boxes and vintage advertising that easily, sometimes intentionally, look like you are buying the actual item. General rule, if the price looks too low, it probably is. Always read the full description!

Even that doesn't always work. I've been hit with "bait and switch" from fleabayers and had to return the product on occasion.

The above caveats remind me of a magazine ad back in the day for "Guaranteed Cockroach Killer! $5!" You sent in the money and got a box: two short pieces of 2X4. On one piece: "Place cockroach here." The other 2X4: "Hit with this." The FTC shut him down.

Hypothetical situation, let's say you were busy and didn't have time to kill the cockroach at that moment. You could store the cockroach in the empty die box until ready to perform the deed. Let's add this up..... $7.00 for the "cockroach storage box", $5.00 for the "Guaranteed Cockroach Killer", and let's not forget the shipping, $4.90 for a total of $16.90 to eliminate a cockroach. Naaaaa, think I'll just administer the size 10.5 to him.

Storing a cockroach in a die box until you are ready to smash him = priceless

I have a bunch of those single empty cases; mostly Lee dies cases so I’ll let them go for $5 each.
