I put most of this up on Rimfire Central. Thought other autopistol lovers would like a story about a pistol that works.
Little black pistol goes bang every time I tell it to. It never jams, stops, FTEs, FTFs, or Fails in any way.
Cheap bulk ammo, Eley expensive ammo, old ammo, new ammo any ammo, rapid fire, slow fire.
Taught my daughter in law to shoot it. A totally new shooter she was. Now she has her own M&P compact that also never malfunctions. It's gotten about 150 rds every month or more for about a year & a half, more now with the center fire ammo crisis.
Don't know what Smif & Weston put in those little pistols but they sure do work just fine.
Triggers kinda rough & creepy but that can be corrected easily.
Inexpensive little pistol that just flat works.

I have a Walther P22 like that.

I'm well aware of their reputation but the two that I bought - including one sold to a pal - cycle every estate-sale drawer leavings, mixed box mystery ammo and junk rolling round the odd tool or tackle box that I've thrown at them.

Got to where I'd actually save craptackular .22 just to see.

Todd.

You have a Walther P22 that doesn't jam? Maybe I still have a chance to see a unicorn.

Unicorn?.... Big Foot?.... I'm open to most anything but a Chuppacabra.

Bought two the same day. The *other* developed a cycling issue first of the mandrel-formed slide stop digging into the slide. I fixed that and the unfired one and have yet to look back.

Good thing that I like mine as I'd never get much for it with their dismal reputation.;)

I've since gone a bit nuts with mine. It's reliable enough for it to be one of my *what's that noise?* guns.:D
