Looking Forward to Another Stimulus Gun Buying Spree.

If it was a Merkel Safari series, you might not want to celebrate. But it could have likely been a stainless Marlin 1895. I’ve seen them for almost $3k.

LGS owner told me yesterday that the shootings in Atlanta is bringing in desperate folks looking for guns and ammo before the next new gun/ammo ban. Another "Bannick" just when we thought the supply of both was getting better. Helps if you are wearing a tinfoil hat and have $4000 of new found monies in your pocket.

We will see some people looking for firearms in preparation for the check, but the reality will probably be that the bigger checks will be going to families that might have other priorities and most of us will see smaller amounts.

Used our tax returns and a gun sale to fund my last gun. Stimulus money is going to a generator we have been wanting for a few years. Kids are gonna get theirs invested in something for them, since they're the ones who'll be paying for it anyway.

While each of us is the best judges of their own financial situation, I plan to donate half of my stimulus check to the 2nd Amendment Foundation. With the more conservative judges appointed over the last four years we are likely in the best situation we have been for a fair while to develop some good precedents and they seem to be the best group for that sort of work.

There are certainly other things I could do with the money, but I can get by without it. Gun rights groups can do a lot more with money than they can with pious wishes. Perhaps I'll get a suppressor with the other half.

I saw a bidder dropping as much as $1,100 on a few used S&W revolvers that recently sold on GB. The first 6 purchases the buyer has made, all starting last month, added up to over 5 grand.

If things keep selling to buyers like that, maybe I will consider selling some of the flock...:scrutiny:

Stay safe.

The one gun that I would consider buying isn't available locally. The only place I see them listed is at Gunbroker and the prices there are already over MSRP. As I have the pistol version, a PMR-30, that is why I'm interested in the Keltec CMR-30.

I guess I’m one of the lucky ones that doesn’t qual because I make too much. I’ll take solace in that. Nothing out there right now I’m actively pursuing. One exception would be a Marlin CB in .32 H&R and those are so few and far between and asking prices aren’t even (much like those for primers) anywhere close to realistic.

I have plenty of guns to shoot to keep me busy until Ruger ramps up Marlin production again. Until then there’s a good chance my ‘gun’ money (some folks call it an allowance) will collect interest.

I am always looking for a good deal. Older classics lately, have all the carry guns one could ever want. But blued steel and wood grips I am always on the hunt for, It may or may not be with the stimulus.

I would love to blow our stimulus on fun stuff, but we're paying off the wife's car with ours. No more car payment, ever! All 4 of the cars will be owned free and clear, and what a burden lifted.

I have quite a few guns and ammo and other supplies already, so it's no big deal. I got while the gettin' was good.

I’m always curious how many people reading Gun forums are hoping to —Sell a semi-auto gun...— but with no comment about that.

It would help explain the frequent topic which is always Verboten and Blockiert on THR, but permanent topics on TheAKforums etc..

Imagine how many thousands are now available on both Gunbroker and Armslist. We realize that ammo “issues” don’t help. :scrutiny:

We'll give ours to our kids, just like the last two times. They're raising our nine grandkids and can use the money better than we can. We owe nothing on anything, house, farm, vehicles, nothing
Edited to add: the kids and their kids are the ones who will be paying it back anyway.
