I'm not sure, I dont follow rifle cartridge prices that close. I was just happy to see it. My cousin said it's an awful price.
"Well I bought match grade at less than that during 2016 elections"

My rebuttal was during the election they were not 2 years behind. That shut him up.

Thanks for posting the prices. While I would and am passing, others may not, and it may be a wise choice. Time will tell.

PPU is good stuff... I have a bunch in my Stash. Of course, I bought it at .45/rd some time ago. $1.40/rd is just way wrong.

Horrendous price. A buck and a half per pop for 7.62 NATO ball.

I feel pity for the buyers of that and extra pity for those who think that’s a good price.

100% agree but thats the rub. Retailers are in the game for the buck and people paying those prices are just fostering future prices when and if this “shortage “ ends.

Yes.

I can’t ever recall the prices being this skewed. The sellers know the countless millions will pay these staggering prices in the blink of an eye. I seriously am fearful that this will turn shooting into a rich man’s hobby PERMAMNENTLY.

Back in the day primers were a Penny a piece 22’s were $10 a brick, even the pre shortage prices of two years were high enough that something other than inflation was in the mix. Government or the fact most of this is now controlled by a few mega companies who can say.

I'll pass! My local Academy store has it for $1.10 per round but I can only buy it two boxes at a time.
I have about 11 more trips in there to get me 500 rounds. LOL

But what's it costing the shop to get it? Especially knowing that every other shop in the country wants some for their customers as well.
A lot of people have been buying guns lately. What good is the gun without ammo, even if the ammo is pricey?

I like to fish. I've got a boat, rods&reels, and a lake nearby. Ain't gonna let the cost of bait keep me on the couch.

At current prices, my firearms and ammo are nothing more than an inflation hedge. I can't see myself shooting any longer unless something changes dramatically.
