What's Your Favorite Reloading Snack?

I've been known to be able to go without food for a couple hours, mebbe three so no food at the reloading bench. Occasionally I'll have a sip of water out of my water bottle, but it is within reach. I've been reloading for a long time and have experienced results of being distracted; one squib because for some reason I forgot to put powder in the case. And one time I had some extra hot 357 Magnum loads that were .5 gr over max with True Blue. Distracted when setting scale? But I did learn and in the last 20+ years have been paying extra attention to what I was doing in the shop, no visitors, no TV, no food, only low, cool Do Wop music as background noise...

I've got no problem having a drink while resizing a pile of pistol brass. Used to travel way too much for work and that is exactly how I'd pass the evenings in the hotel. Set up my little reloading kit and get to processing brass and reducing the overall volume of gin and tonic in the world.

Any powder, primers or bullets involved and I'll abstain.

work traveling is completely boring! Nothing but trouble outside the hotel room

I had a two to three stint on loan from the staff engineering department to a couple of the paper mills. I built both portable shot shell loader stand as I was competing in skeet and a metallic cartridge press stand.

I’d get to go home on weekends so I get to take my production home. I’d practice skeet or shoot a tournament on weekends.

Among other things, it was a good way to limit alcohol consumption while away from home. I did manage to shoot some of my per diem instead of eating it.

JMHO- I don't allow any distractions of
any kind while I'm involved in the loading
process. It's something I feel that's worthy
of 100% of my attention.
If I need a break for refreshments or a
bathroom break or whatever, I'll stop what
I'm doing and go do whatever I need to do,
and return to my loading whenever I'm
ready to give it my full attention again.
To me it cuts way down on any potential
mistakes I might make if I were distracted.
I like to put on some music on my CD player - about the only time I can now listen to them

what are you shooting on skeet? I find skeet challenging. I’m good with trap.

I shot my 1st perfect bunker trap not too long ago

I was shooting competitively in the 1990’s. My competion gun is a 28” Skeet grade Browning Citori fitted with 20 ga, 28 ga, and .410 bore sub gauge tubes.

About any good field grade gun that fits one properly makes a good starter skeet gun. Semi-autos or over/unders are a better format due to doubles in skeet.

Apologizes for diverting the thread. Back to snacks.

Ice in root beer? That's blasphemous! Merely suggesting ice in root beer should get you time out from THR until you've come to your senses.
WHAT!!! I been doing that for ever! Large Ice Cubes, RB is my only sipping soda, slow sips with large chunks if ice

when are you going Alaska with your 50 Alaskan?
