I am wondering if anyone knows if All Buck 110s are made in the USA ? I went to two stores today, one a big box store, the other a medium box store . There was a 20 dollar difference in the price between the two stores which are less than a mile apart . This makes me curious . I would love to save 20 dollars but want to buy the real deal . I did not check them out closely because I did not realize I needed one until I got home . Not sure why, but all of a sudden I have an interest in owning one . Thanks for any info .

I bought a Buck 110 new, a couple of years ago and it's made in the USA. If Buck is making them somewhere else now (and I doubt it), the change of the place of manufacture is relatively recent.

Thank you folks , exactly what I was hoping to hear . A custom 110 would be sweet also . I like that S30v drop point a lot .

Buck, like most knife manufacturers offer different levels of quality with many knives made in other countries. But the 110 and 112 in all of their variants are USA made. BTW Buck makes several variants of the 110. You can get a 110 Slim for around $30

Amazon.com : Buck Knives 110 Slim Select Lockback Pocket Knife with Thumb Studs and Removable/Reversible Deep Carry Pocket Clip, 3-3/4" 420HC Blade : Sports & Outdoors

Or closer to $300 for an automatic version

Amazon.com: Buck 110 Auto Elite: Kitchen & Dining

Or anywhere in between

Walmart sells a 110 with a cordura sheath instead of leather which may account for some of the price difference
Thanks for that info . I did not see it at walmart, but I will soon find out if the price difference is the sheath material . I will probably make a sheath for it so that does not really matter to me .

Sometimes the sheath drives the cost up, if it is in a box vs the plastic hang tag container, or could just be the price mark up of certain stores for the price difference.

The 110 is a great American classic and one of my favorite Bucks. The 112 is also a great option but a bit small for my hand.

Don't forget about their factory made automatics now :)

Another price add is the scale material and whether there are finger grooves or not. Be sure you're comparing the same knives for pricing since there are enough variations to explain significant price differences.

Recently I found CRKT M16 for $20 at Wally vs $35ish on up eveyone where else. I bought one and compared at home carefully examining every thing I could then wnnt back and bought another... then found the satin blade version their website and bought another. Now, none in stock within 150 miles.

I got what I thought was a smoken deal on the large and small Buck Spitfire several years ago on sale. My 110 with nylon sheath was, iirc, was about $20 cheaper on sale. Sometimes you stumble upon good deals.

You're probably the biggest enabler ever, c'mon man! I hadn't seen the "unique" options, cool upgrade for guys who've got to have a buck but want a little more.

Ditto @hso. If I had to pick the most influential enabler, it be him. He's a sly one.

I also recently started looking at building a custom Spitfire on Bucks site with the upgraded blade material and G10 scales.

My 200+ mile roundtrip is over and I am the proud owner of a Buck 110 . It is the no finger groove model with leather sheath , I have no clue how I made it to 59 years old without one . Thanks for all the insight . I just signed up for the Buck e-mail list , now I need to design a custom rig . While shopping I lucked into a couple pounds of powder also , a great day for sure . I was going to wear the buck as soon as we gout out of the store , but waited to enjoy it when I got home . I am amazed of how many Buck 110s I see on people in movies and shows now that I am paying attention . I saw one ranch hand that wore his open in a cross draw sheath behind his back, being a fixed blade guy that really put me over the edge . I have knives that cost 10 times this, but for some reason this one really speaks to me ...and I have only been wearing it 10 minutes.

My 110 hails from 1974 and still works great for tasks at hand
Excellent to hear . That was about the time all my buddies had them on their belts , or in their pocket . I carried a Puukko , always liked things that were not the norm . Had no idea what I was missing .

Mine was a gift from a supplier; at the time we were building the Atlanta Subway system and we bought so much stuff from Atlas-Copco, the salesman bought everyone working on the project one of these. Many guys broke blades chipping granite but Buck replaced them. Not the newest and fanciest steels, but easy to hone and feels good in the hand with a nice heft.

I carry a 110 daily. Mine is only about 5 years old. Needs a new sheath now but it's a trusted companion.

Occasionally I get the itch and carry my buck 192. It's actually my favorite, but less convenient for daily carry.

I have an old buck 426 I got in blade broken condition. It's essentially a plastic handled 110. I sent it back to buck and they replaced the blade with a new 110 blade. It's very handy to carry as a spare when on the field.

I pulled the trigger tonight and ordered a nickel bolstered, satin S30V drop point blade, elk handles. Been wanting one, should be sweet!
That is the one I would like to get , Please post your thoughts of it and pics when you get it . I am now a big fan of these knives , I look for any excuse to use it ,when it's not on my hip it's on my bench open and ready to go . I find I just pick it up without even knowing why , just feels good in the hand .

I will post pics! It will take up to 8 weeks to get so I have to be patient lol. I made custom knives for 10 years so normally I wouldn't get excited about a Buck but I know they have the best heat treat there is and the 110 and 119 models are just iconic. Can't wait!

I bought a Buck 110 recently and I am wondering if anyone can shed some light on it? From everything I've read about the markings - this knife doesn't fit in any of the categories of manufacturing dates. It is marked "BUCK 110" thats it. No USA anywhere. Sorry I haven't cleaned it up yet. buck (1).JPG buck (4).JPG
