I was flipping through gun broker yesterday checking prices on reloading stuff to get a idea if the panic is letting up when I saw four 1k auctions for WLRM primers. They caught my eye because they had no bids with only a few minutes left the starting bid was 50$ per 1K I checked out the seller who was certified hazmat FFL with 3k+ reviews. I sent the a message because shipping was 40$ 1k to see if they would combine it they said no problem, since they are costing about 100$ from online stores because of limits and shipping I thought why not bid ended up with all 4k for 52$ each + 40$ shipping so maybe its getting a little better out there.

I’m glad it worked out for you!

From my experience.....not yet. Have been watching.....and about once a week will find some 1k bricks and put them on my watch list. Auctions with penny starts and 4 or 5 bids with a day or two to go. Most are still selling from $120 to $160 plus shipping. That would be Federal 210 or CCI. Remington seems a bit lower. Magnum primers lowest of them all.

Occasionally watch some slip through the cracks......as they have auctions ending nearly every day. Lowest I had seen was $97 for a brick....or about 9.7 cents each. Half of what they had been. Not many of those.

If memory serves, last time I was on Midway, they didn't have any primers but had a price posted for them. Seems like it was at least 7 cents per primer......or $70 for a brick. Didn't like the looks of that. Price of powders on Midway also $5 to $10 a pound above Powder Valley for the same thing. Didn't like the looks of that either. But seeing what normal channel retail prices are is helpful to know where GB prices are headed.

Got 2k from midway yesterday after shipping and hazmat little over 100$ per

Last week my local academy had LPM, broken into pads. Between me and my wife and mom, 600. 2 pads per person. First we seen in over a year. Month back I scored a couple pounds powder there.

I tagged ~425 SRP the same way. Ended up at about 8.5¢ each after shipping. The other four auctions for SPP and LRP got sniped right before closing so I lost them but, I'll take my 800 and be happy.

That was a good steal I bought a 1k from Cabelas in Waco tx last week paid 60$. They were Winchester have not used them yet still have some CCI. Right know I am making up a load of .223.

Good job to the OP scoring cheap primers.

I’m feeling just a little better since Midway has had primers off and on all day today. Not just a two minute blip. But long term, I think inflation is going to sting like a murder hornet and nothing will be cheap.

I think they will be high for quite a wile:(

There are some primers coming into the US from Murom in Russia.

Fedarm is marketing them as "Fort Smith" primers that are:
  • "Made in our ISO 9001 state of the art factory, with 100% optical and computer inspection for priming."
But from pictures I've seen and information that I've been able to dig up, they're definitely made by Murom.

According to one of the above linked sources, they got a delivery less than a month ago.

Fedarm is currently showing primers in stock.

I expect that if things do start looking better for US primer availability, they'll drastically revise their pricing.

I was able to get a brick of LPP’s from Midway but with shipping and hazmat it was $108
Sounds like that’s pretty close to GB prices.
Haven’t seen anything local in months I’ve pretty much given up.
There seems to be plenty of overpriced ammo though and last weekend I saw a bunch of Remington on the shelves.
