So... I bought some primers yesterday on Gunbroker

There are some primers coming into the US from Murom in Russia.

Fedarm is marketing them as "Fort Smith" primers that are:
  • "Made in our ISO 9001 state of the art factory, with 100% optical and computer inspection for priming."
But from pictures I've seen and information that I've been able to dig up, they're definitely made by Murom.

According to one of the above linked sources, they got a delivery less than a month ago.

Fedarm is currently showing primers in stock.

I expect that if things do start looking better for US primer availability, they'll drastically revise their pricing.

Fort Smith can keep their primers at their prices, 1999$ for 5k imported primers. Whatever they are smoking it must be good.

10¢ each is the price most here swore they'd never pay. I'm holding out for under that price-point, still. Paying 8¢ each irks me but, it's for CCI and Winchester small rifle primers, at least. I managed to pick up some CCI LPP for free the other day. 80 of them fell out of an old box of junk in the store room. ;)

Glad I can hold out for a while in the promer department.
But sad to see where the prices have gone.
Ditto. I feel real bad for the folks who have had to quit reloading because of this shortage. Hopefully its just temporary and they'll start up again when prices go below the stratosphere. We aren't all rich or all-seeing. I've got a tight budget for gun stuff. It's a hobby.

How many have you purchased from Cabelas and Sportmans in the last 6 months?
I don’t want to wait in line at sportsman, it comes in on Wednesdays, around noon, and they post it on their local facebook page when it comes in. 3 weeks ago, they had 20,000 primers come in @ $40-ish per/K

I probably won’t buy any if I seen it on the shelfs, unless it’s for .45ACp, why???? because I believe the market will fill the demand. Now, when it’s back to $30 per/K... stock up time

If you mean “Guntalk”, that covers a lot of ground. Can you provide a link to the particular article or video where you got that information? I looked, but couldn't find it.
@Mark_Mark you keep trying to convince us...thanks for trying!
it’s true, I did a new thread about it so I don’t hijack someone else thread. I’m trying to be more polite and less Troll

let see, Sportsman and Cabelas can sell for $45-$50 per/k but midway sells for $75.

Midway has been on my redflag list. I don’t forget!!!
Historically, Midway has higher pricing that other sites. Recently (past 6 months), I have found a number of items reasonable priced and made purchases. I scored primers from them in October @ $34.95/1K. Now at $75/1K I'm not buying, but others at least have the opportunity to get some. Midway has been good about getting things in stock where other places have not.

Glad you guys are getting them there. Still pretty dry here in Ohio and I can’t wait in line during the week....
I tried figuring out how the massive amounts of supplies are being sent to Texas and Nevada while 80% of the rest of the country sits and waits for nothing but it was a wasted effort. Texas and some parts of the PNW are being flooded while the rest of us starve. Lucky them. Glad they can brag and wag fingers.

Maybe some areas of the country are more apt to bring the whole family to the store, buy it out and flip it on GB while other areas are more inclined to "leave some for the next guy".

I’m leaving components alone right now... what’s in stock??? GUNS! I picked up a never fires Colt Defender lightweight for $800. I’m trying to get into .45 1911’s

I was thinking it had more to do with trucking reg's and when the highways reopened but Florida never really shut down, some of the powders are made here but aren't being sold here, and we never closed our truck stops ... so I'm not sure what the deal is.

I’m not sure about powder I have not seen much in central TX since last fall but for some reason the local Cabelas has got primers off and on since January. Powder that I’m getting is mostly from PV
