I’ve been involved in a number of deals where 8-k’s were eventually released. My work falls in the middle of the process. That means the project has been under consideration for months before I know about it and for months after I stop working on it. Most of the time the deal falls through and the public will never know what might have happened. Usually before a big deal is finalized rumors start swirling. It’s hard to get financing in place, legal services rendered, various consultants involved without someone spilling the beans. All that will happen before the “public” is made aware.

Here in northern Virginia Amazon had clandestinely bought up or had options on their HQ2 site before announcing its actual location. I don’t know if they did the same in other front runners. Rumors were swirling for quite sometime because they’re only so many outfits that would need and could afford that much space for offices right across the river from DC. Their fulfillment centers get similar treatment.

No worries here I can easily wait it out for another political cycle before I have to scale back my usage. Still working on primers that I paid $12 per K for. Got laughed at for spending a couple Christmas Bonuses on primers but I'm laughing now.:D It's all good though.
This.

I didn't get in on the $12/K, but I have many for under $20/K.

It wasn't long ago I was getting emails from the big supply houses (Midway, MidSouth, etc) practically begging me to buy primers.

Cases of Winchester, crates of Fiocchi, boxes of S&B.

I remember looking at the emails, and checking with Mrs (Ida) Thunkit, who is not only my Social Director but also Budget Overseer & Household Comptroller.

She asked if primers go bad.
When I assured her of the relative indestructibility of said little cups of fire she stamped her Imprimatur of Approval on the whole deal.

Much money was earmarked and spent.

I'm good for several years....

I lived in DC once.. DC Sniper winter. I Left quick

Speak for yourself. I seem to have no problem burning up components.

Actually I’m one of those shooters who subscribe to the “just in time” method of inventory. I’ve never kept more components on hand than I plan to shoot in a reasonable amount of time. Disposable income being what it is and all.

My belief is that retailers/wholesalers are hoarding primers and selling them on Gun Brokers. It's to much of a coincidence that everyone is out of stock while there seems to be an endless supply on GB. It's also not far fetched to believe greed is a very motivating incentive.

they are trying to dump it now. watch out for player like Midway, trying to set the tone of high profit greed... $75 primers?!?!?! kiss my *** greedy Midway. Hello 3 new primer factories!

You get primers
and, you get primers
and, you get primers

Who, what, where are these primer companies being started?

at 12:40 it doesn't tell us much of anything.

On a whim, did an Internet search for "new primer factories being built".

Google was silent. Then on Duck Duck Go, two of first three hits were links to this thread.

In short, Internet doesn't know anything about it.

secret primer factories!

Love to see an ammo plant start primer factory. Retail seems like way to tough a market to recoup investment capital in a reasonable timetable.. but who am I? All a guess.

First firearms were gone, then ammo, then reloading supplies. Guns are back (mostly) ammo is staying in stock at retailers at a slightly less elevated cost, and primers have been glimpsed. It's coming back. Over a year ago I guessed some normality by June. Currently that feels optimistic but things are going the right way.

Lost my german shepherd last month so my newest hobby will be a years worth of dog training which should get me well past this shortage along with my current inventory

Optimism is the key to long life and cheap primers
