I got some awesome recommendations to go through EWK Arms from this forum for my Dan Wesson.

But looking at their website, basically nothing is in stock. I know that's a common theme nowadays, but with a small website, it makes me concerned it's shutdown.

I sent them an email a week ago, still no reply.

Are there lights on and nobody's home?!?!

Anyone know if EWK is still up and running and taking orders for wrenches and most certainly for new barrels?

In my experience EWK has always been hit or miss, especially with shroud and barrel sets.

I did score a blued 3” VH for my 15-2 several years ago, but nothing since.

I did get a blued 4” VH .22 set for my .22 DW directly from CZ at the start of last year but with the dropping of the revolver line I don’t know if they’re still stocking anything.

Sadly, eBay has often been my avenue of choice for some parts. They can get pricy but at least the stuff is there.

Good luck!

Stay safe..

I seem to recall them being out of the barrel game or at least out of barrels for quite some time.

For quite. while, they had barrels but not shrouds (or the other way 'round) and stopped back-ordering too.

I wonder if they took any industrial, legal or commercial heat from CZ?

Todd.

I don’t know if CZ had a fit, which is entirely possible, but EWK were making stuff before CZ started making DW revolvers.

EWK used to make a slab-sided style of shroud that was a look all their own, along with a factory copy of the VH shrouds. Since I already had VH ones I never bought one of their style, instead I always wanted them to make a V style shroud. I find the VH really are great at the range but a bit heavy to tote around... plus it would be a new look for my 15-2’s. EWK never made them, so like the OP, it’s trying the used market to find something that will work.

Stay safe.

I've emailed Erik a few times... EWK is his hobby business, not his full-time business, so work and other life has to come first. Further, he made a big move a few years ago and he has to set everything up at the new place... but I know how that goes.

He was supposed to make a special run of .41 barrels and shrouds, but still has been delayed... and this has been about 3 years. I'm cautiously optimistic, but I figure it's 50/50 I'll ever see one.

8" bbl's are nice,

I have 1 that's railed for a scope. I like that style better then the raised rib style. The solid rail is a lot stronger then the raised rib.

He (EWK) creates his parts in batches. Get on his notification list. That's how he determines demand and how much product to make.

Holy cow!

I'm glad those guys jumped in.

I have other thoughts on him at this point but this isn't the place for it. I'm glad no kids were hurt.

Selfishly, I guess I'll never get that fancy barrel

Edit: the articles look to be from 2017.

But someone must be running things, because I ordered stuff when I started this thread and got my wrench and comp for my Dan Wesson

If you're having no luck finding EWK barrels CZ/USA has them priced reasonably if in stock.
