Strolling through ace hardware my brother and I saw the same can of spraypaint and thought the same thing...

We disassembled my brand new aero epc9 ar15 and degreased, taped it and painted it metalflake green. Why? I dont know but I was captivated by that color when its sprayed on black. Its like a chameleon! No, we werent drinking

I am grateful that I have not seen the things that you have.
I’m not positive but the 5th picture might be @LoonWulf’s work.

That ... is the color of my 30 year old Montgomery Ward riding mower.

A few years ago I had to do some rebuilding work on the mower deck and managed to find a can of metalflake green that looks quite like that so that it matches the rest of the machine. I was surprised that it was available. I got it from either Lowes or Home Depot. :)

Hmmm ... I could paint-up one of my ARs, get a boot for the back of the mower and then I would have my color-matching Mower AR quickly reach-over-my-shoulder available to handle any attacks that suddenly develop whilst mowing. ;)

I had a 1973 Chevelle close to that color. The metal flake was a little more subtle on my car. I've painted some beater guns in various shades of muted camo before. If part of of it peels or rubs off it is easy to touch up.

I don't personally care for what you did, but I've certainly seen worse. For years a seller had a Marlin 336 for sale on his table at gun shows. The wood was painted gloss black and all the metal parts were painted gold. And it wasn't very professionally done. He had it priced at a premium too.

I was going to cast a rock at the OP and then remember I was not without sin... :(:D

Got tired of people mistakenly grabbing my shotgun off the rack at three gun matches since everyone's shotgun was all black. First I did the stripes on the magazine tube for the BPS and then I went full sparkly red when I upgraded to an 1100.
