How many rounds do you reload?

At last count, about 65K rounds a year. That ended this year since I'm not going to pay the asking price for primers. I've settled on .22 lr for now.

I still do more than 10k a year but a lot less than when I shot three matches a week and practiced as well.

Of course I bought all of the supplies I would need to sustain this for a number of years, so I can absorb temporary market fluctuations, say for a full presidential cycle and a little recovery time. If it ever looks like that won’t be enough, I’ll probably knock off the machine gun shoots and other high ammunition consumption activities me and all my friends enjoy.

Things seem to be easing a bit. Was in an Academy yesterday and they had .22lr, .223, 9mm, 40, 7.62x39, 308, 30-06, 243, 300blk, and a bunch of other stuff and even CCI LPP.

i dont reload or shoot as much these days. Maybe 250-350

I go to the range 2-3 times a month but usually don't shoot that many rounds when I go and some of that is 22lr and 7.62x39 which I don't reload for. I usually go to the range and have a plan of something I want to work on. Shoot 50 - 100 rounds a trip.

I go to the range twice a week sometimes 3 if helping a friend or cousin with a new firearm or sighting a scope in. Otherwise the majority of my training and shooting is a 22lr or 22 magnum.
I'll shoot between 100 to 200 rounds of 22lr drawing from my holster with a 617, than towards the end of my training session I draw and shoot 21 rounds from my 686 which I carry. Afterwards I will shoot which ever rifles I take at 200 yards also 22's and always shoot at least 50 rounds standing off hand to keep me sharp during deer season. Basically when I reload rifle ammo it is for my AR's when we go plinking or for my sharps. I've stopped reloading 45's as now I carry and reload .357. Maybe 100 to 200 rounds a month now.

If I load 5500 a year, would I select 'Over 5000' or '5001 to 10,000', or both?

I’ll be slower this year than most years, but still on track to exceed 7,000. Most years I’m over 10,000.

I'd love to load and shoot more than I have been lately, but right now I'm about in the middle of the 250-750 category. Hoping to bump those rookie numbers up a bit, and I'll start tomorrow.

I recently decided that while it's nice to have a stash of primers and powder, they don't bring me much joy just sitting there on the shelf. So I'm heading to the range in the AM to test out 2 new .38 special loads and make sure that my .458 socom is on paper after an optic swap. Once testing is done I'm fortunate enough to have components on hand to crank them out and move up a few brackets.

The last 3 years I have cut way back due to heart problems and cancer. I had 6 stents put in then a triple bypass and when almost recovered from that I got cancer. Now I’m almost back to about 70% and trying to hit the range when I can. Before the heart crap I usually loaded 16-18k a year for about 12 years and that’s what I based supplies on and try to keep 5 years of components on hand. 90% of that 16-18k was 9mm, the rest was 38/357. Now I’ve added 223 again for 2 rifles, and AR, and a bolt.

Continue to recover fast.

Since I started last January I can only use an estimated rate of 600/yr. This is loading for one caliber (1/2" S&W) - about 3 to 3.5 lbs of powder a year.

With the current component situation I will probably load around 5 thousand between rifle and pistol. If I start finding more primers that # will go up!

Pre-kids 10,000 plus. Now, a hundred here and there. More like 1000 a year, over the last few years, but I’m getting really low on a couple things so it’s time to fire up and run for a weekend. I expect 5000 plus this year. I will probably just run until I run out of something and change over at that point. 30 cal will be bullets. .270 will be bullets. 7mm will be powder. Pistol rounds will all be powder. Shotgun will probably be hulls but could just as easily be powder.

God Bless and prayers for a full recovery. I got it much easier. For me it was two tumors, related to working with nickel steel and exotic metals. A couple of minor surgeries and removal of a gland of some sort took care of them. I never had to go through chemo, thank you Lord! That was in '06. I was clear for ten years then in '16 had a small carcinoma that was removed - then in '19 came the heart attacks and stents (only 4) and I haven't had to go through a bypass, yet. Seriously hope not to have to.

On the upside, I did finally quit smoking.

I actually started reloading more after the last angioplasty. I was stuck at home with nothing else to do.

I have no idea but roughly between one and five thousand. Some years more and some years less. This year I have already loaded more .38 Special than normal simply helping family and close friends. Normally my winters I load more since outdoor shooting is cold and range snow covered. Summer and Spring is when I am on the range a good bit. Retired has it's merits. I have never been the one to count rounds.

Ive been in the 1k-5k group since I got back into it a couple years ago. Probably gonna go up a size now that my stash of .45 ACP factory ammo has dwindled.

I started last June maybe sooner. I've loaded about 500 or so rounds so far, mostly 9mm. Getting into doing 40/10mm now, and 300AAC. 50 at a time is about my max considering my bench space and gear. I can't see me loading more than 5k rounds in a year unless I got a progressive and a bigger bench. I am going to be shooting a lot more this summer though.

I rarely shoot trap, only because out of all the shotgun games it’s mind numbingly boring to me…mainly shoot 5-stand, skeet and sporting…in that order. My go too loads are 3/4oz. in both 12 an 20…Claybuster wads for both and Clay Dot powder for 12 and 20/28 for the 20. I’m about 95% in skeet and 5-stand with either, sporting in the 80’s% range. When I do shoot trap I’m in the 90’s% at 16yds, as we back up I have to choke 2 tighter than everybody else, but doesn’t seems to hurt my scores…I can count the number of times I’ve shot trap on one hand last year…skeet and 5-stand I’m just under 6k for this year.

5K plus for me with 3/4 being shotshells..................
