Looks like PSA has a blem lower as part of their Memorial Day sale. It includes a pistol brace for $180.

I saw another post talking about Midway not accepting returns on braces.

i guess the logic is that they don’t want to be stuck with inventory. If Biden admin reclassifies AR pistols as SBRs, braces are useless.

interesting the demand didn’t really go up for these braces and pistols or these sites wouldn’t be discounting them and trying to clear house.

I wouldn't stress over it. The demand didn't go up because most people who are into AK and AR pistols aren't pressed or panicking over it.

I don't think there was ever a huge demand for the product. They may be dumping them while still legal. And if the law never changes it isn't like they've lost a ton of money.

I’m not so sure about that, there were dozens of pistol brace variants developed due to demand. I see tons of pistol builds on the AR groups. I’m also seeing a lot of them on AK pistols and other sbr-like pistols.

A lot of people who aren't interested in AR or AK pistols or who dislike them altogether usually do not realize how popular and mainstream they are.

I see the same thing on AK, AK, CZ Bren & Scorpion, MP5s, so on and so forth groups and forums. They are pretty popular.

I was always anti-brace but as soon as .gov threatened to take them away I bought one. I should have bought one sooner, it was an enlightenment to say the least. Mine is on a contender pistol and I have seen many other braced contender pistols online. There is even a very expensive contender grip that stays sold out because it takes a picatinny rail brace attachment. I specifically avoided that one because it is very much readily convertible in seconds to be a rifle. At least mine has to have some security screws loosened.

AS others have mentioned, they are much more popular than most folks believe.

Every investigator I work with has at least one AR pistol with a brace at work. I also have a Recover Tactical 20/21 brace for a Glock 20. It makes for a very compact, hog killing system. Pistol braces are very popular.

I've been surprised at the wide variety of firearms I've seen pistol braces on. Regardless of government action, I'm guessing this horse has left the barn. The ease with which a brace can be taken on or off makes a mockery of the whole thing. Pandering to the ignorant notwithstanding, I have to wonder if there isn't a point when even the most grandstanding statist realizes that attacking this feature just makes them look foolish and ineffectual.

When did looking "foolish and ineffectual" ever stop them?

Everything that the anti-freedom crowd proposes is "foolish and ineffectual".

You see felons and felonies every time you go shooting?
Sure.o_O
I take it you're not familiar with shooting in the middle of the desert. Yes, you see firearms worthy of felonies almost every time you go.
Vertical foregrips on AR pistols?
Un registered sbrs?
Wish.com glock backplates?
Wish.com "fuel filters"?
Auto sears? Lightning links?

I see at least one of those every time I go out to the blm desert trash heap. I should start a bingo card.

Then I don't think that you were paying attention to the upswing in popularity of the AR "pistols". ;)

After resisting the urge for a LONG time, I finally built an AR "pistol" awhile back (2019) following an impulse buy ($49 IIRC) of a 10" .300BO barrel. My years-ago original AR "pistol" research suggested to me that a .223/5.56 "pistol" was not a great idea but a .300BO (since the round was primarily designed for use in a short barrel) might actually be worthwhile.

For a brace I bought a cheap, utilitarian Trinity-brand Blade(?) as I was not about to spend $150+ on such an item. Short time later I stumbled across an unbelievable sale on an SBA4(?) for well under $100, so ...

I like the .300BO and resolved that my next AR Upper Build will be for that cartridge ... with a 16" barrel. ;)

I just pulled mine off. I wasn't a big fan anyway. I wrapped my tube in paracord.
There are a variety of different brace designs. I often see people try one specific brand/model and then make the blamketed statement that dislike all braces because this weren't found of the model they had.

No, I've done it. And because it was desert there wasn't another soul around. If I had run across guys with illegal firearms I sure as heck wouldn't return to that same spot.

Sure.

Not illegal if the OAL is 26".;)

Un registered sbrs?
How do you know they are unregistered?:scrutiny:
Do you go up and ask for the users Class III license?

Other than a Glock conversion backplate, none of that stuff is illegal. Lawfully transferred auto sears, LL's, Form 1'd silencers are all perfectly legal under federal law.

I recommend finding a new group to shoot with or finding a better place to shoot.

Seriously? o_O
That would be news to the ATF, being that bumpstocks were redefined as machine guns a couple of years ago.
Please tell us what states they are legal to possess.
You probably already knew this and were baiting me into bringing it up so you could correct me...

I just looked it up again. It's not yet legal. The Sixth Court ruled that bump stocks are not machine guns, and sent the case back down to the lower courts so that they can file an injunction which will then make them legal to own in Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee.

. . . I have to wonder if there isn't a point when even the most grandstanding statist realizes. . .
See Cuba, Venezuela, China, and a half dozen others. True commitment to the idea that you know better is immune to the intrusion of reality, at least up through the death by starvation of a significant portion of the population you claim to be helping.
