I just wasn't looking for a new gun but this Walther caught my eye and my wallet.

I haven't shot it yet but most reviews rate it pretty high. It appears that it like high velocity ammo and I have enough to keep it happy. I plan to break it in with CCI-Mini Mags and then shoot either CCI Velocitors or Federal Punch out of it. I have some Stinger to throw in as well.

I like the long Double Action trigger pull but the single is great. Mine breaks at 10.3 pounds and 3.6 respectively using my Lyman Digital Scale.

The safety doesn't act as a decocking lever. I prefer to carry in condition One with a round in the chamber and the safety on while the hammer is back. Years of carrying a 1911 are hard to argue with but I'm sure someone will.

It's just small enough to fit in my pocket but I think I'll make an I

We have two, my wife and I. You won't be disappointed. I haven't noticed either of ours being ammo picky. They like standard velocity, subsonic, hi-vel, super-vel... as long as it fits in the mag and chambers, they'll cycle.

Great pickup. Have fun. Oh, and with a suppressor, it looks like something Bond would carry. ;)

One of my kids has one and it starts to get troublesome after 100/150 or so rounds. I use to take along a can of WD40 just to clean it out every so often to keep it running properly. Works best with CCI MiniMags or any other decent high velocity ammo you might have.

I had one of the early ones. Some of them had problems but mine didn't. # grandson has it now and it's still going. It shot any HV ammo you put in it including golden bullets. :p There is a ton of information about them by poster 1911-1917 on that rimfire fourm.

If you are looking for a yes answer, then you came to the right place, if you are asking if you are going to get in trouble then I might recommend asking the boss of the house aka the significant other.

Now in my house, I am the boss, and my wife has given me permission to be the boss, as long as it does not contradict what she says.

Congratulations. On a side note the Walther is very finicky with the ammo even among the CCI family it won't shoot all of them, mine likes the 40 grainers anything over 1200fps.

Hello... Great work on the holster. How do you "mold" the leather to fit?

Ounces?

I've always loved those little P's. Had half a dozen or so of them over the years and never had issues with any. Always fed them HV's (mostly Fed Lightning and CCI Stingers), but I probably never put 1000 rounds through any of them.

I think it deserves a good home and you did what any responsible gun owner would do. Good on you :D

I had one of the first generation P22's. People used to complain about them. They did have a slide made of zinc. Mine was super reliable. I only put 3000 rounds of CCI Mini-Mags through it before trading it in on a Ruger Mark III, but never a hiccup. I liked how it looked and felt. Just wanted a longer barrel.

Mine doesn’t always cycle the slide back far enough to pickup the next round with Federal bulk ammo. That’s been my only failure. I changed to Remington Golden Bullets and it’s been 100%.
