What is the last gun that you bought?

Navy87Guy:

About two years ago at the Nuremberg Germany main train station (Hauptbahnhof), as a Sig owner, I asked a policeman which carry gun he had.

I'm pretty sure that their HKs are whichever variation of the P30, having converted several years ago from the Sig P6.

Glock 30s, with SF frame. Blue Label. (I am retired LE.) I knew that the 30s existed, but I had never seen, or heard of one with the Short Frame. I saw it at a police supply dealer, yesterday. Today, I went back, and bought it. Apparently, it was a special order, but for whatever reason, the buyer could not, or did not, complete the transaction.

Any G30s is somewhat of a unicorn, in the supply chain. Any Short Frame is a unicorn, in the supply chain. I am lucky.

All at once, older guy wanted to rid himself of all his rifles last January:

Win 1895 Limited Edition '06
M1903A3
Lee-Enfield No5
Win Model 67 .22
A beat up old Ruger 10-22
and a really sad sporterized Ariska that I don't even know what caliber it is.
Top 4 are in excellent condition.

My latest purchase is a Walther P 22. I wanted something I could put in my pocket. My normal carry gun is a S&W EZ-9 but it's too large. The Walther fits the bill.

Unfortunately I'm not ready to use it as a carry gun. I'm having problems with jamming, using CCI-Mini Mags, Velocitors and Standard Velocity.

I've read everything I can on this gun and watched a number of video. Most are favorable but a few cautioned against the P22. They did offer solutions to the problems so I'm going to follow the suggestions and polish the hammer and feed ramp. They say this will work.

I put a Fiber Optic ( Green ) on it today and wow does it stand out. I now have FOs on almost all of my guns.

Mini Mags gave me about 7 jams for the first 100 rounds. I then switched to Velocitors and only had 2 jams out of 50 rounds. CCI-SV only had one failure to feed.

Suggestions are to polish the hammer and feed ramp. Break in will continue until I can fire at least 100 rounds without a malfunction.

I was messing around a couple of towns over, running some errands and thought I would look for some ammo at the local hardware stores, that also carry the stuff. I was not disappointed as no one had any! On my 3rd and final stop, I decided to take a stroll down to their gun counter.

I swear, I heard a chorus of angels singing and a beam of light shown down to highlight one particular rifle in the rack! All I saw was fiddleback and feather crotch wood. Then I noticed the sticker on the stock, "CZ"! I was hoping it was a .22 or .22 WMR (I would have picked it up, even if it wasn't!). I asked to see it and it was even more impressive. I asked if they had any others in the back. He brought out a couple more for me to see. One was pretty plain with a little figure in the butt. The other was a real fence post!

I told him to start the paperwork! I forgot I had left the wife in the car! She went to the garden center and filled the back up. I didn't even care and we both drove off with smiles on our faces!

I finally hit the "Wood Lottery", without having to pay an arm & a leg!

CZ 457 LUX in .22LR... just what I was hoping for! The pix don't begin to show how awesome it is in person! Seriously... dollar for dollar... is there anyone out there, right now, that can beat CZ?! All this and around ~$550!

PS: I took it out a couple of days ago and it shoots as good as it looks, even with me and the open sites and my poor (old) eyesite!
Beautiful!

I got this the other day for the wife to carry in her purse in anticipation of Constitutional Carry kicking in on Sept. 1.

Update. I was enjoying shooting the 642-2 so much I told Nancy I was going to appropriate it for myself. No dice, so I was forced fo get another one, except for this one is a 642-1, no internal lock. Loaded up with snap caps at the moment. Smith and Wesson weren't no fools!
