Rugers next new product

Absolutely useless in my opinion. Defeats the purpose of the LCP. Gah.

I have to agree, it looks like a ten round version of the LCPII.
I hunger for a 380 version of the 365, but I don’t see me running toward this one. I find the LCPII pretty light and snappy and not fun to shoot. Nor reliable.

Now, if they can take the LCPII 22lr and make it a 9 shot 25ACP, or Max and make it in the coveted 32ACP, then they have my attention.

And my apologies to Ruger, looks like they have left Kel Tec behind and are focused on SCCY now. LOL

EDITED TO ADD: Wow! Replaceable sights, reversible mag release, no magazine detach safety, and no manual safety. Ruger, you have my curiosity now. Depending on if the grip angle is better than the Max 9, I might try one these. Could be interesting. And if they do sell, which I think they will. I know SCCY’s 380 is in high demand, and have been well received by those that could snag one. It’s still on my want list as well.

I was really thinking the new products was a carbine with go with the 57 pistol they have. I think someone else mentioned it as well. Would make for a handy carbine around here, more steadier for longer shots.

Looks like a welcome addition to Ruger's line up. Folks with weak or arthritic hands appreciated 380 pistols, I assume that's the target market. Gotta love all the frustrated gun scribes acting like bitchy NYT theater critics, "My apologies to Ruger....". I'm sure Ruger is listening, lol.

Lots of speculation. I bet they follow these type threads for market research on the free.;) So enough intrest and we might be influential in a new toy eventually.
On the Ruger forum, a double stack .380 was requested by exactly zero people. Lots of other requests, always ignored. So this is “the gun you didn’t know you wanted.” ;)

With my luck and living in California it will be a pistol that is not and will not be on the Handgun Roster.

But, I submit my entries daily anyway, because I’m my minor fantasies the new gun could be…

A Marlin 60
Or a Wrangler type revolver with a swing out cylinder in double action…

The price point of the give away of $489 is the limitation and that is an “MSRP”, I’m sure, so gun shop price would be less so whatever it is, it ain’t fancy. ;)

Why did the Red Labels fail? I like mine well enough...

Because they had a LOT of issues. I owned one of the first runs if the 28 - the one they "supposedly" got right - they didn't; even 3 tries afterwards. To get them working right would have meant a large increase in price, something they knew wouldn't work.

Instruction manual says grip is not "noticeably larger" than LCP II but I don't see any actual dimensions. I'm not sure if you can draw any conclusions by comparing pictures of each on front of manuals.

I still say that they are total idiots if they don’t cash in on the Camp 9 potential. Take a Ruger PC carbine and slap wood furniture on it then a different roll stamp. Done.
I would probably already own a PC Carbine if it came in wood. Bet it would b heavy though.

Whatever it is I have entered & will continue to enter. Even if I were to win something I didn't like that wouldn't mean I couldn't trade or sell it & get something I do like. Either way it is fun to watch the thread & keep entering.

This is kind of what I have in mind.

Weight would just make it feel more authentic.

That would be sweet! I really like the M1 look out front.

Derailing a bit, but back in the 80’s everyone was rebuilding M1 Carbines in long pistol caliber (10mm, 9x23, etc) for bush pilots and outdoorsy activities. I wish someone made a GOOD M1 Carbine reproduction now and chambered it in 10mm or the like. Would even take it in 30 Carbine, just was dreaming.
