Anyone break the code on 200 grain Nosler Accubond in the 358 Winchester?

Anyone break the code on 200 grain Nosler Accubond in the 358 Winchester?

Nosler says not to use it in 358 Winchester. But loaded to 2.888 you have enough bullet in the case and bearing surface out to fix what they say the problem is. Savage mag and chambers handles it with no problem.

From my 17 inch barrel I’m getting 2500 FPS but about a 1.5 inch with 51 grains of TAC (in the photo).

Gonna try 4064 to see if I can squeeze out some better accuracy. From 48-49.1 to try to find the highest accuracy node with the least flash.

Anyone else try this combo? Any other winning combos in 358 Winchester you care to share.

Rifle Specs:
-Stock Model 110 358 WIN
-17 Inch 1:12 Twist Barrel (JES REBORE)
-Headspace is looser than I like. Going to fix this before hunting season.
-Ebay Generic 350 Legend Muzzle Brake
-Bushnell Nitro 4-12

Load Data:
-Federal Gold Medal Match 308 brass sized to 358 WIN in two passes and lubed well. Length Im getting is 1.999-1.998 after resizing and two firings. The thing that makes Federal brass not desirably for repeated firings in 308 make it perfect for reforming to 358 WIN. The soft brass takes a shoulder bump and expander quite well.
-Federal 210 Primers
-Nosler Accubond 358 200 grain. If your brass is longer you can comfortable make this load shorted. I have some factory brass but prefer my reformed FGMM.
-48.5 4064 (Powder well above the shoulder)(49.1 was near the top of the case)
-Finished with a Medium Crimp of a LFCD (It needed it, not a lot of bullet in the case and compressed)

Results: (5 shot groups)
48.0 grains-Velocity Average 2275 FPS, 14 ES, 5.2 SD, 2.6 inch Group (4 shots in one hole and a flier)
48.5 grains-Velocity Average 2328 FPS, 52 ES, 16.9 SD, .998 inch Group (seated .020 deeper COAL 2.860)
49.1 grains-Velocity Average 2339, 32 ES, 15 SD, 1.6 inch Group (seated .020 deeper COAL 2.860)

Conclusion:
Ramshot TAC at 51 grains and 2.880 COAL is a 1.1-1.3 inch load with a SD of 3. Very consistent. And a solid 200 FPS faster than the 4064 load. The best of the test. This load gave too much flash in my 17 inch barrel.

I settled on 48.5 4064 @ 2.860. This load shot 3 sub moa 3 shot groups in a row. As a hunter and in a 300 yards or less hunting rifle I can live with the accuracy from 48.5.

Heres the trick...find a barrel in 308, 7mm-08, 243 and send it to the guy in the link. He will rebore it to 358 Winchester for 250.00 shipped. Cool thing is, find a completely shot out barrel. Condition doesnt matter, just need the bore good to the shoulder.

Carefully grind the tips off. That will gain you some valuable space. Do it carefully and you should be able to get the weights exact too.
