I hit the ammo motherlode today.

Apparently my computer is not working properly. I have three of the same posts now, and I can't see my photos in any of them but they appear when I hit the edit button. .
I’ve been having that exact problem with postimage.org … at first it was only on this site, but this afternoon on the postimage.org site the thumbnail in my account showed up but when I clicked on it I got an “error server busy” instead of my picture.

Turns out I only got one of the three pictures posted, but the other two are up now. And they were still stacking it on the shelves when I left. They even had several cases of Hornady 00 buck and slugs not yet put out.

A hundred round limit isn't ideal, but that is per caliber which would still allow for hundreds of rounds purchased from this particular supply. I seriously doubt they bother with the "per month" requirement which could easily be circumvented.

I didn't check any of the prices, because I cast and load my own. This store is located in north Georgia.

What is the quantity in the Hornady 00 buck cases? Just wondering since they only allow 100rds per month. Are they 100rd cases?

I did inquire, and it's a limit of one hundred rounds of each. The 00 buck comes in ten round boxes, and the slugs come in five round boxes. If someone isn't a very regular customer I really don't see how they can enforce their current restrictions of a hundred per month.

The next question has to be: How do the prices on the available ammo compare to pre-panic prices?

Which GT's?

Do you mind if I ask what area of the country you're in because things here in Southern Ohio are still pretty tight?

Hornady 00 buck was a dollar a round, and the Hornady slugs were about a buck fifty. I didn't look at the prices of any other ammo.

North Georgia.

How's this for the ammo motherload.
? IMG_20210714_152227.jpg People have such a grim outlook on things around here it seems. I have tempered my expectations and am prepared for the inevitable crap storm that will set things off and send ammo skyrocketing again but I take this as a good sign. It means things are settling down and alot (not all) smaller LGS's are able to get ammo for decent prices. Whether they sell at decent prices is another story, but sub $400 cases of 9mm was something I was prepared to not see for ages and we are only a lil more than half way through 2021. That's pretty good imo.

ETA: I picked up a case of wolf poly 9mm for $360 a couple months ago, it had been backordered for a year. If I knew I was gonna have access to brass 9mm for $380 I would have canceled it.

My guy doesn't institute any box limits either and he always has ammo now, for a couple months now he is getting good size shipments on the regular and his display cases and gun racks are full of guns now. The tide is slowly turning. Just be patient.
