"PP, PPU or ППУ Prvi Partizanski [zavod] ad Užice ("First Partizan [factory] at Užice") (1941; 1947-Present) - Užice, Serbia. On September 24, 1941 the FOMU facility was liberated from the Germans, who had wrecked the machinery and burned down the administration building. The ammunition production machinery and tool shop were moved to an underground vault under the National Bank and the other machinery was dispersed to the surrounding towns. An explosion on November 22, 1941 that killed 130 workers forced its closure. The factory moved back to the FOMU facility in 1944. It was renamed Prvi Partizanki zavod ad Užice (PPU) on September 5, 1947."

Definitely Prvi Partizan of Ulzice Yugoslavia (now Serbia).
Probably 8mm Mauser.
Probably Berdan primed.
Look in the case and see if it's got one central flash hole (Boxer) or 2 (sometimes 1 or 3) that are slightly off center (Berdan).

As Swampman says, Prvi Partizan, city of Uzice, Serbia, (was Yugoslavia prior to 1992 or so). Good brass, I use the loaded rounds (they make 7.65x53mm Argentine, 8x56mmR Mannlicher and 8mm Lebel and a number of other calibers) and brass. The stuff for the U. S. is boxer primed, but I would imagine berdan system was used in 'old days' and possibly Europe.
