Leupold Mark AR 6-18×40 used for $199 (Good Deal???)

My LGS just posted a Leupold Mark AR 6-18×40 rifle scope for $199 but it's used. Is this a good deal? Should I jump on this, I have found a couple on ebay in the $500-$600 range. Are they really that expensive and are they a good optic?

Not sure what the rings are but either way, I wasn't really looking for a scope but I'm thinking I will replace the Vortex I have on my AR with this. Or maybe shift the aimpoint from my BCM to so.ething else and put the leupy on that. Seems like a good deal to just pass up....

I thought the same thing. The gold ring is kind of their trademark, so I expect to see it on everything.

Yeah I'm pretty jazzed up about putting better glass on my SS bbl AR now and as soon as he opens at 12pm Friday I intend to swing over on my lunch break and be there to buy it. Deals like this tend to disappear pretty quickly if you don't jump on em. He has been closed since Tues so it's still there unless somebody already got dibs on it.

He once posted a Spikes complete lower with a Geissele SD-C in it for $199 and I missed it by like 5 mins. He posts some crazy deals, especially on used stuff, if you watch his page frequently you can really score. It always seems like when his page is stagnant for a couple weeks and I don't pay attention for a couple days I usually miss something awesome, sometimes I swear I do t know how he makes money. He does better on pricing than the big box stores on guns and ammo and he is out in the middle of east bumshoe.....

He just posted a Galil for $1200 too. I always wanted one but can't justify the cost right now but if I was in the market $1200 is a pretty good deal, especially now, no?

Well I missed it. Don't know how exactly. It was posted during a period of time where he was closed for 2 days and I had my wife swing in right at opening. Somebody must've PM'd and requested holdsies, I just never ask because he says no holds on things, first come first serve.


I will be asking for holds from now on.... I was pretty excited to grab a nice scope in my price range.... I have nice stuff, I just usually have to save for it and justify it, less so when it's a screaming deal. I was ready to jump for that one. Oh well...
