Just picked up a DR920 and thinking about getting the smaller MR920. I’m interested to hear from those who own them what they like or dislike about them. I have a Glock 17M and 19 g5 but have been wanting to go the red dot route and liked on paper the Glock updated and slide optic cut on the Shadow Systems at reasonable price. Thanks for input

I've got an MR920 Combat w/ optic cut, bought it used. It wasn't until I played around with the back straps that I realized how well it could shoot. It feels like what a Glock should have from the very beginning and for a carry gun - the trigger is fine. Mine's around 5lbs and breaks nicely. The optic mounting system is nice on the Shadows, I've got a Holosun on mine with no plate and it's holding on well.

Had some reliability problems with mine, probably why it was traded in. Found it to be the Magpul mags, I shoved a Glock OEM mag in and had no more problems.

Likes: Optic mount, clever back straps, beavertail, and the sights.
Dislikes: Price, trigger pull. I still greatly prefer my PDP Compact, it just has a much nicer trigger and shoots just as well - for $200 less.

If you like your DR920, you'll like the MR as well - just be cautious of the mags they come with.

Thanks for the input. I snagged a used MR920 today and then shot them both out back. I like them a lot. So far all shooting with Magpul mags no problems. Have a 507c on the DR and another coming tomorrow for the MR. Today was first time ever shot pistol with red dot. Think could become a fan quickly.

I think I like the Neutral M&P backstrap best

Too late but I almost picked up a 920 when I wanted a backup Glock 19 but ended up just buying another Glock after I determined they were about the same in my hands.

That said, if I wanted to go with a dot I'd absolutely get a Shadow Systems instead of another Glock MOS. Much better mounting situation.

Yep still love my Glocks too but for ones with red dot these seem to be best way to go.
