Range toys! Do you have any?

So I wanted to know if anyone has a shotgun that just fills that role of range toy. Something that you don't/wouldn't rely on for other important roles, but seems to always make it out to the range for some reason.

Be it a funky clay gun, an interesting old gun, or some Frankenstein's Monster that you enjoy shooting stuff with.

I've had a few over the years, but the one that seems to make it out the most is my PGO Maverick 88. Anytime someone asks how I feel about them, I find it best to get them some trigger time behind that and a full stocked shotgun as well... Still have yet to see any serious takers of the PGO after a few rounds from each.

Another is a Hatfield 20 gauge single shot that just seems to keep breaking clays, no matter how many shells I feed it. I dunno, it reminds me of my teenage years years, breaking clays with a cheap H&R Pardner single shot.

Old Model 12 skeet gun with a Cutts. Give the puller/scorer kids a history lesson. Field Wingmaster plain modified with an Addarib for 16 yard fun. Wingmaster with a Boyd laminated thumbhole stock and really high ribbed barrel so folks can experience "heads up" shooting.
 
I had a Mossberg 930 JM PRO I used for 3 gun, but I have moved on from that sport, which made the gun "excess", so I sold it. The shotguns I own have roles either for defensive purposes or shooting things with feathers, primarily. Every once in a while, I will take a HD type shotgun to the range for re-familiarization training- some reload and engagement drills on steel to "knock the rust off". That's about it.
 
I have an RIA tk113 ~4.5 lb. 12 gauge.

First thing to do is replace the front sling stud if you dont plan on wearing a glove. Trigger spring screw needed a dab of loc tite, also added a pachmayr slip on pad and as much lead shot as would fit inside the stock.
It's ok for informal clays (I shoot it better than my old H&R 088), slugs out to around 50 yards and experimental ammo...
 
Some have sort of ended up as range things, but all started with a utilitarian purpose for carry, hunting or home defense.
 
Well all my guns are toys... i have alot of pre 1900 type of guns. Th3 inly ( modern ) gun i have would be a mossberg 590. I have 4 guns made before 1880. And a henry rifle a 1911.

But id say the range toy i have is. My 1942 German Gustloff werke, waffenwerke suhl. Side by side. (Note pics are before i filled the plugs on the stock to match the gun)

My favorite to take is my Stoeger 12 side by side.

Always some one that wants to try it out.

look on there face from the blast of a double trigger pull is always fun.
 
I have a few shotguns that are pure range toys… My Grandfathers old Model 12 16 gauge is retired from hunting now…and his Lefever Nitro Special 16 gauge SxS was made into a coach gun because the barrel ends were badly pitted so it isn’t useful in the field anymore…the Remington 1100 Trap is really heavy to be carried in the field so it’s a clays-only proposition…there are a few others that probably won’t see the field either, but these are the ones that definitely are for play only. :)

I dont shoot shotguns very often, id rather throw the clays for other people to shoot. I do generally use all of my shotguns (3 currently) as range toys more than anything else tho.

ill get them out and take pictures sometime this evening

Makes it out to the range once a week in the summer, and once or twice a month in the winter, not one I'd hunt with:

I've a Saiga 12 with 20 round drum. Definitely a lot of fun at the range (we have a plate rack dedicated for shotguns at our club).
