those heavy L brackets and put some screws in the wall and into the table legs
and the floor. You really don't want any
flexing when you're pulling down on the
press handle when sizing and other operations that take a good bit of pressure
A good thing would also be to find you a
piece of plate steel to bolt through on the
bottom. I have a plate and a heavy glued
piece of wood on the underside of both
of mine here and at the farm

When we bought the house this space was 2 walk in closets, we had 3 kids, 2 girls and a boy, 13 and under, had to have another bedroom. For a short time we did store things there, but we are cleaning house so my gun related items will be in there too.

try these Ikea storage selves. they have infinite configuration and boxes and accessories, AND CHEAP IN COST.

You can mount a rock chucker on it, like I did, but reinforce the mounting points with metal plates.

Threads like this remind me just how good I have had it. The last 30 years my bench was either in the living room or the bedroom, depending on how the wife decides to “remodel” about every 6-12 months. Right now it is in the living room and will be staying there until I’m gone. It’s just too much to move anymore, so I get half the living room for my “man cave”.
 
Congrats! Life got better when I finally traded all the tubs of the kids' elementary school work for thick work benches and built my workshop.

I keep looking at your table though and get concerned. I have to anticipate there will be another machine or two on there a year from now. Can those legs and the top keep up?

I've been using it since we got the table, at one point had my single stage on it at the same time. Will likely reinforce it soon, but the shelving needs to go in first.

Loaded up 20 rounds of 243 last night, well finished them, has previously sized and primed those cases. So just powder and projectiles.
 
Congrats on the new space! You’ll get it figured out pretty quick and then run out of space! I used HD’s heavy duty wire shelves for a lot of storage and adjustable shelves. They even hold a lot of weight. Good luck.

If I can throw in my 2 cents....

If your room is 8x10 pick one wall to run your loading bench along full length. Attach to wall studs. Your storage over the bench should be cabinets with doors. These don't have to be overly expensive. You can find used cabinets cheap & you can paint them however you like. For an 8' wall use 2 ea 2x12x8' & 1 ea 2x8x8'. This gives you a 32" depth. One sheet of 1/4" masonite will cover the whole thing nicely & it can be replaced if ever needed. Set the bench height off the floor to match your own ergonomics. I'm on my 4th home reloading bench & this works best for me so far (mine is 10' long). No matter how big you make it, you'll always need a little more "bench".

I made a little adjustment to the floor plan as my house was being laid out. Instead of a two car garage, I have a one car garage and a nice loading room.
I got it the hard way, though, replacing the old house that was totaled by fire in the Incident of 2010. That one had a separate shop building, which was fine except when I wanted to load some on a rainy day.
 
Plan carefully about the floor plan. Keep everything you can (die boxes, trimmers, neck trimmers) in shelves or those plastic sorting bins on the wall instead of using up floor space.
If there is a closet (or a small room suitable) put the loaded ammo, primers and powder in there, segregated so fires can be easier to manage.

I have a room in the basement and no wife. The stuff growed. Exponentially.
 
I promised an update, unfortunately it's not improvement in the room, more like repurposed into a bed room. Spent Sunday moving a daughter and 4 grandchildren from an abusive SIL and right into our home. 3 boys and 2 girls requited more than 1 bedroom. Hopefully this only last long enough to get them into their own place.

I see way too much of that going on these days. Not sure if it's a societal ill or something in the gene pool but it needs to stop. Good for you taking on the big hit and doing what's right. We did the same thing with an adopted relative who was abused and kicked out, moved in with us, then found out he had cancer and no one else in the family would step up cause he wasn't blood. Doing good is it's own reward.

That is for sure. Daughter said I'm sorry for kicking you out of your room, I told her no need to be sorry. Dome things are more important, then changed the subject. I will surly keep you all updated.

Good for you as well family is supposed to be a place of comfort.
 
On a happier note, my buddy set up his bench this weekend with equipment that I picked up at a yard sale earlier this summer and some I picked up from Craigslist. Last night he texted me saying that he resized trimmed and primed 130 5.56 me cases then asked if I would set up another press for him because 2 single stage presses on the bench are better than 1. He also asked if I could help him find a set of 3030 win dies.
