think about it this way, Germans make good sausage! and beside, no one 1 person owns anything, share holders are the profits people.
 
How about all the bullet makers out there??. Maybe the lead recycled from China
But places like RMR MB, ACME etc

Yes, that's ideal, but it isn't possible in all cases. If a person wants to be a stickler for this, then chuck your I phone, Android, computer, and house telephone. Your TV too, and smart watches. I liked your post because you said "or assembled". That's a little easier....assembly makes jobs too. But Americans won't buy expensive for the most part, and the larger percentage of quality American-made parts, the more expensive it is. How many of us drive Japanese cars, or American cars with Japanese or Korean or Chinese electronic controls? At least some of the foreign car factories are being built here.....manned by Americans....

RCBS has been crucified over some things they sell made in foreign countries....so then it's assumed that everything they make is imported. Their California factory and cast iron casting ovens are alive and well but trying like hell to find workers that aren't waiting for their next government bailout check......how long California remains in the union is another thing for another day, IOW's RCBS may yet become foreign or half to move.;)

The cast iron parts are made in their own factory. The cast aluminum parts I don't know....they may not have room and/or equipment to cast Aluminum. That may mean the Rock Chuckers and Rebels are cast there, (Pro 2000's were), but maybe the new aluminum progressives were cast elsewhere, but I'll bet they are assembled in their factory.

Their old scales were made by Ohaus. Don't know if they still are. Their electronic scales....like everything else electronic nowadays, is probably outsource to Asia......like everyone elses. Even Hewlett Packard computers aren't make stateside anymore.....and they used to do all their own electronics. Apple's.....outsourced mostly. So why pick on RCBS......why the hate for the company that made reloading a hobby accessible to most everyone, with a warranty that everyone except Lee copied or tried to copy.

Trying to support American companies is good for us. Can I buy an American made cell phone???? No reason to rant about getting rid of items there is no American opinion for.... if we dont support what little we have left we will have nothing....

You can buy American refurbished cell phones, profit and Jobs stay right here. That’s what I been doing with my last 3 iPhones, not paying $1,000 for a device that a $179 device can do.

My current phone is a referb but I have no idea where that work is done...

I would like to hear a lot more chatter about Peterson cases or alpha munitions. I feel compelled to buy some even if I dont need any. I shoot sorted and prepped range pickups mostly.
 
Go for it! Alpha .308 brass is $1.05 per case whether 100 or 500. Peterson .308 brass is $.92 per case for 50, or $.90 per case for the small primer version.
Or bulk 500 cases, Peterson .308 is $.78 per case Match or $.79 per case Small primer. None of these prices include shipping or tax. I think the 500 case shipped for $14 from Salt Lake to NW New Mexico.....and Peterson is sold by Grafs and they have their $10 perpetual shipping/handling fee.

If I was a serious competitor and thought Lapua was the only brass worth shooting.....these might be interesting to try.....but I'm not....;) Esoteric is not my middle name. I'm more of a LC 7.62 (not match) kind of guy. If I go hunting, the game won't know the difference. Now.... LC brass is American made..... :)

I'm all for supporting American companies.....even the ones who have to buy from China to stay in business. I mean what would Lee do without Chinese coils? What I'm skeptical about is a company that says they don't buy ANYTHING out of country.

Go ahead and try to manufacturer an electronic trickler without such help.....or a phone....or a TV, or anything. I wonder where those two brass companies above get their brass raw material...or even Lake City.....somebody do the research on that.

Those prices may seem high but the local price of lapua 308 is north of 1.00 per case plus 10% TN tax so it's kinda the same. I'm hoping to find some norma cases as that stuff is for sale everywhere.
 
I have only one strong opinion about all this.....We are all God's children and we need to get along and help one another. The more we tie together our economies the better we have to get along.....that's a bad thing? I think strict nationalism can be worse, and democratic socialism worst of all, which is where our Country seems to be headed.

I agree we are our fathers children, but being able to provide for yourself, your family, your country and the world fall in exactly that order.
 
I'm all in for learning to be and being self reliant, but without a free, safe, and benevolent country....with wise leaders and laws that support us in that, it becomes much more difficult to be a provider....or protector for our families. My wife and family comes first, me second.....has to be that way. My church comes third (they have already sent many Semi's to help those in the Hurricane....those Semis are made possible by offerings from members and others), then my country. World? I think we have some responsibility there too. Especially where it comes to innocent families unable to do the above for themselves, being uprooted by bad decisions of governments, including ours. We are a world family with the same father....those people are our brothers and sisters. And do support the few good leaders we have left....

How do we make this pertinent to the reloading forum? I guess we all have to make decisions on what's needed to be protectors....what skill sets we need. You young guys could use the hobby to create the skills to protect families, and our country, and thereby our families and ourselves. Me? I'm close to past that in age, but i do have the skills.....just no longer the stamina. My hope is to teach my kids and grand kids how......which may not work so well until primers, powder, and bullets come back.;) While components and ammo is less available, I suggest we take advantage of that and add to our food and water stores.....this is an unstable country right now.
