Why do they have to be such a PITA about finding the right size covers. Would it really be that hard for them to list the cover size for the particular scope instead of making you pull out a caliper and measuring? Don't have the scopes with me and want to order some covers. Does anyone know what size I need for a Leupold 4.5x14x50, Nikon Prostaff 3x9x50, Nikon Buckmaster 3x9x50? Thank you so much. Butler Creek, sheesh!

They used to have a cheat sheet, the last few I got were a pain to get fitted right. Wish they could just use a heat shrink type stuff to fit better, there's lower temp stuff like they use for the arrow fetching.

Here's the Leupold and Nikon pages from the scope cover chart that I downloaded from their web site several years ago. I couldn't upload all the pages as the file size is too big.

The info you need is on their website , a simple Google search will bring it right up . Less time than it took to start your thread.:)

But then they cant' whine about it.:neener:

But the question is "scope cover" or lens covers??

Plus it helps to actually have the scope in question to measure it!

Just remember if you’re using your rifle in the field to order butler creek in bulk. I’d break one at least every other trip

This. I hate butler creek caps.

Vortex Defender caps are a much better option. They’re more rubberized than butler creek so they’re less apt to break when torqued, and they fold flat back against the scope instead of standing proud to snag on EVERYTHING.

If you can wait a while for them. They are not quick at making them, but the best caps money can buy.

if you need them quickly and don’t mind not having the easy pop open cap.

I have the aadmount, and I haven’t found anything better. Both will make you caps if you measure for them, if they don’t already have your scope listed, which is what I had to do.
I think those caps cost more than my Nikon scope. lol
