That's no Pietta!;)
But they'll do...

Lol those colts are beautiful brother, kudos to you and Mike!
Here's a couple more he did. The Whitneyville is an Uberti and the 1862 Pocket Navy another 2nd Gen Colt! I had the wrong Pocket Navy in that pic. here's the one Mike did!

Talking Navies, I like the '61 best. Uberti is the correct barrel length and taper. Pietta uses their '60 barrel bored for .36, 1/2" to long and to "fat".
Ah, got one o them too. 2nd gen Colt 1861. And just in case a 2nd Gen 1862 Pocket Police!

This may be so and may explain why the 2nd gens are pretty much the worst of the "reproduction" / continuation of bp revolvers! They would have been better if they HAD been supplied by Uberti!! Lol!!

Opinions vary… so it goes.

Nope, that's pretty much my experience with them over the years. They are typical '70's vintage guns with pretty faces! Almost all the '51 arbor holes are broken through, some have hammer draws in the 9/10 lb. area, bolts that have screwpin holes so close to the top of the part that they're cracked, or almost non existent material. Parts look like they were whittled out with a hatchet. . . . and these were Colt's !!! Real Colt's!! Original Colts I've worked on with correct period action parts looked way better (not perfect but definitely more "professional" looking). I would think if Colts was serious about these being shooters, they would be better on the inside . . . but they look just like any other '70s reproduction. No offense meant but it is what it is. But like I say, any of them can be made into an amazing machine . . . they just take a little extra !

I was kind of hoping to get one that worked out of the package.
They are all assembled kits but odds are a Pietta will be closer to ready to shoot out of the box. The problem with Uberti is you can guarantee the arbor will be too short, guarantee, I'm not certain they have ever made one correct.
