thumper.jpg This is "Thumper", 2005 production. When purchased, it had the typical brand new bluing, reddish looking (mystery wood) grips, and was just a typical sheriff model you would get from Cabelas. I antiqued it myself, smoothed the internal parts, lapped the bore, had the muzzle crowned, flattened the top of the front sight pin and cut it back at an angle so that I don't get glare from the sun back from it, replaced the factory trigger/bolt spring with a piano wire spring from wolff springs, stainless steel nipples and screws, synthetic ivory grips from arizonacustomgrips (on ebay). It's been a long term project, but much fun and many rounds downrange

There is an easier way.
A bunch of us on the old Remington Forum came up with this plan.

Nice job of antiquing it and great photo with the gun, belt and holster, the accessories, and the pocket knife!
