I have a few.

My Encore pro is a straight up modern rifle In Muzzleloader clothes. Shoots excellent with Federal’s trophy copper mz Bore Loc and 777. A 3-9 Leupold provides the reach.

My Cva Electra Is modern and with the Bergera SS barrel it’s very accurate. Easy to carry and lite weight. Red dot assist with its easy to carry features.

Then, Well ….There is my Pedersoli Kodiak 58 double.
I was against a older design, as my Brother and Father always had with the Hawkins /Percussion and Flintlock. I liked modern and advanced technology that makes for easy reloading, Sight pictures, longer distance…. Blah blah. After seeing my brother shoot bullseyes at 80 yards with his Flintlock and hit empty shotgun hulls off fence post- I became a believer, just wanted something different. My First ever 8 shots at 50 yards - bullseye! All of them… and that was with 80grs of FF Goex (Luckily have a good amount) and a 280gr (Lee mold .562) PRB. It’s far more accurate than I expected.
That’s my Favorite, It’s a bit much for deer… Yet it’s Dear to me. So what’s your Favorite Smoke Stack ?
 
Those are Beautiful- I can understand. Had me one, a 34”. At 250 yards it was laughable how accurate it was, and easy to shoot (Heavy rifle) and Very nice triggers
 
Rifle: A TVM Late Lancaster flintlock in 50 caliber, customized for my size. A retirement gift from my lovely wife.

Handgun: a tie between a Ruger Old Army with 7.5" barrel and a Euroarms Rogers and Spencer. The R&S is more comfortable for balance and pointing but the ROA is slightly more accurate for me and pretty much indestructible. SIGH! Decisions, decisions.

Cartridge: a Navy Arms Rolling Block in 45-70 with a bull barrel. It can safely shoot modern ammo but I prefer and do better with my black powder handloads.

I am torn between either the 7-1/2" black powder framed USFA single action in 45 Colt or the 4-3/4" black powder framed USFA in the same chambering. The 4-3/4" handles a little better (balance wise) but the Kool factor go to the 7-1/2". As a matter of fact I'm planning to shoot both of them tomorrow with black powder 45 Colt hand loads.

Rifle:
.45 caliber Traditions Evolution LD in line. 1/2" groups at 100 yards with 100 grains of pyrodex rs and a 320 grain Buffalo bullet company hollowpoint bullet.
Pistol: Uberti colt walker. I usually shoot 50 grains of 3fg blackpowder with a .457 caliber lead ball.

That .58 is a thing of beauty. I've lusted after a Pedersoli double 12ga. for a long time. Seeing "Free State of Jones," starring many 12ga. percussion doubles, made it even worse!

For now, I'd have to answer my Uberti Rem. New Model Army. So much fun to shoot! The charge in the photo was 35 grains of homemade, touched off by a homemade cap (Tap-O-Cap) and a round ball, with homemade lube (50/50 by weight: olive oil and beeswax). Only one chamber was loaded, owing to the less-than-snug cap fit. The pic is a frame from an iPad video, shot at dusk, and lit only by the muzzle flash. I would normally shoot about 25 grains, topped with a bit of Cream O' Wheat and a round ball and fired off by a #10 cap. Fun!

A .690 ball in front of 100 grains of powder out of a Pedersoli 12 gauge is a lil bit of a thumper.

I have a lot of work to do finding an accurate hunting load for my .50 cal Lyman Deerstalker, which I think I would enjoy more. Until then I’m actually torn between my 7.5” ROA that’s quite accurate and my 5.5” Pietta NMA that’s not far behind.

I used my old rifle measure with 10 grn increments eyeballing the middle, but now have one I’ve marked with 5 making 2.5 grn increments an eyeballing setting. I’ve been working on their more accurate hunting charges with the intentions of filling the excess with a wide meplat bullet. For my Ruger it was 35 grns of 3F Olde Eynsford that weighed 38 grns and the 30 grn setting that weighed 33 grns for the NMA. I’ll be testing them further to fine tune their charges. It will be a modified version of another bullet I designed being a little shorter and weighing 230-240 grns most likely.

From chronographed results of similar powders and bullets puts my NMA easily at the upper end of .45 ACP performance and the ROA like a +P+ which would be quite dandy for hunting with.

Once my universal bullet is made I will purchase an additional ram to epoxy the bullet nose profile so as not to deform it with the stock which I’d keep stock.

A fellow on another forum even worked with hollow point designs making a ram with that profile as well. Makes for an interesting possibility working with cavity depth. It has had me thinking about the old Speer Flying Ashtray, the granddaddy to the Gold Dot before premiumbullets were a thing.

And maybe I should purchase the aftermarket ROA cylinder that holds 5-10 grns more…

I think once I get a 28 ga I’ll find my favorite though.
