That was the first pistol I ever shot. The Whitney Wolverine in metal.
Personally, I would love seeing the C96 Broomhandle again.

Speaking of which, a Springfield Hi Power, -ish repro.Browning Hi Power
All of Colt's black powder handguns starting with the .44 Walker, all made in the USA of top grade modern steels, the 1860 Colt army is the most undeniable beautiful handgun ever produced, I sent mine back to Colt for their drop dead refinishing blueing absolutely breath taking when I got it back. Unfortunately made in Italy for Colt, doubt they would have refinished it otherwise. As the title says... what are some handgun designs that you would like to see make a big comeback in the market ?
In regards to specific models, I’d love to see Sig bring the P239 back into production in its traditional DA/SA format.
In regards to generalities, I’d absolutely adore if a reputable company (looking at you NAA) would revive the “fixed cylinder”, double action, centerfire, small bore (.32, .38) revolvers; and the centerfire small bore spur trigger top breaks.
What’s your “wants” to see revived on the gun market ?
Not me I would buy two of each BP handgun Colt made in my previous post. Would I shoot them ?? Maybe yes, maybe no, but I sure would enjoy owning and admireing the beauty those BP handguns give off plus the history they represent in times long past.Just a talking thread....
I think Charter Arms tried something like that when they bought the rights to Armalites AR-7. Pretty cool little rig if I recall rightly.A C-96 in .22. It would have greatly simplified internals, being a simple blowback action. I think it could be done at a reasonable price. Make it full sized and keep the non-detachably internal mag.
Springfield Armory is producing an excellent clone of it...Gone, but not so long ago, the Browning (or FN), Hi Power in 9mm and .40 S&W. An elegant side arm from my military past. Rod

Bought an Ideal Handloading Manual at a gun show in Portland, Oregon, it was a second edition cost $0.10 new, but I had to pay the CROOK $20.00 for the manual, cuz the scammer overheard me talking to another person about aquireing 100+ # of early 20th century gun powder from a lady whose husband had recently passed away. However she only asked $20 for all, seems no one else would buy it. I lucked out big time, powder proved to be super accurate in ten different calibers, still have 10# left, but NO primers.
Bought the Colt Diamondback 38speical 4" nib, discription in 2 words--- shoots fantastic. There are a number of guns I would like to see back in production.
The SIG 225 (the real one, not the so-called 225A1) and the BERETTA 8000L pistols, both in 9m.m. I have found that both have a very ergonomic grip that shoots well for me.
COLT Diamondback! I would love a "BLUE" 4 inch model and if it only comes in .38 Special, that is fine. I would not complain at all, if they brought out also, a 2 1/2 and 6 inch model.
The good sights, beautiful blue and styling of these revolvers is just not the same as the stainless replacements that COLT call's the COBRA line.
I would like to see a SIG 232 with the aluminum frame chambered for the 9x18m.m. ULTRA/POLICE round with a good hollow point round for self defense. The original 230 was available in this caliber and the better safety and grip of the 232 would make a wonderful carry gun.
Oh, and a BERETTA TOMCAT 3032 model with a 4 inch barrel.

How very correct you are, handles nicely, mine shoots nigh on 1 hole groups at 100 yards, in my possession 40+ years. My vote would be for the Savage 99. Arthur Savage got it right.
Bought a AMT 45ACP long slide many years ago, would not feed at all, so useing very fine Emery cloth I carefully polished the rails and feed ramp to a mirror shine, BINGO, it now feeds even emptys flawlessly, cheap fix indeed.Always heard bad things about the AMT offerings but since you have such great taste in hunting dogs, you must know what your talking about.
With a .4525 throat..45 Colt Anaconda for me please.
.45 Colt Anaconda for me please.
I'm gonna buy one of these so fast it won't even make it to my bucket list, already have .451 through .454 plug gages in the car. With a .4525 throat.
Nope I have a 13. Was thinking more along the lines of going thin stack and a half to get to 10-12 I. The M8/PSP envelope.
All of this is moot of course because it’s neither cost effective nor do they have those engineers with the expertise.
Not to burst your bubble but it would probably come with a lock.I’d like to think (hope!) that the notion of a new S&W 1006 might just be in the realm of possibilities
