I bought the top one in '98. came with synthetic stock. switched it to wood about 8 years ago. has a Nikon 4x scope.

bottom one was a rural king limited edition wood stock model I bought about 6 years ago. now has a Weaver 2x7 scope.

I've got a bunch of them, four Chargers and six 10/22 rifles. Not all are 100% finished configurations. I try to stay a gun or two ahead with both 10/22's and AR's but it doesn't always work.

Got two of these French walnut stocks now, only one on a rifle.

Riomouse and I have similar taste. My stainless International 10/22 is topped with a Bushnell Elite 3X9.

I'm a shaky old man, but if I can use a rest it helps reduce group size. Our indoor range goes to 50 feet max. The rifle is as it came from Ruger. The ammo is 10 rounds of S&B Club, just because it's what I had.

Full body soft Houge topped off with the appearance of what is a carbon fiber shroud
then all mechanical parts replaced included a one & a half pound trigger
plus it is a penny popper at 25 yards with the EOtech.
bought it about 15 years ago, maybe longer

Finished up the camo job. I better not lean it up against a tree in the outs and walk away as I'll likely never find it. It's more a desert camo job. Lotsa fun on an old one I was about to sell as parts. Upgraded the stainless and used those parts on the old one.

I have two Rugers that are a blend. The international came with the blued action originally. Recently I was given a stainless and synthetic model. I've long thought the stainless international was the best looking model so I switched stocks. Now I have my beautiful Mannlicher and a nice utility/ all purpose model.
My first 10/22, a birch and stainless model was long ago given to my oldest son, now 34 years old. He will get these two one day as well.

My trusty, rusty 1985-vintage standard carbine…

Now has a COVID-era International stablemate.

No heavy barrel target or take down backpackers… yet. ;)

Stay safe.

I did not know these existed. Now I do. Now I want one!

I will have to take a photo of my Plain Jane 30 year old 10-22 tomorrow. By coincidence I got it out to take it to the range today and found that the nylon recoil buffer ate the big one. I preferred a new nylon wrapped metal one and new springs for it from Midway today.

I've done a couple of braced Charger configurations. This is the most recent. Then I ended up buying the factory version.

The original.

The top one looks like the perfect lil sentry popper... I know some military units have used them for different "quiet" tasks, not sure about our military but other countries seem to like the lil 10/22

I wish ruger never discontinued Zytel. I loved those older quality composite stocks on the M77 and 10/22's. They should have never axed the zytel.

That's the latest one, put it together a couple months ago. It's a really cool little rig. I need to wring it out and see what that Volquartsen barrel can do. I do really like the little 3x prism.

This is my only 10/22. I bought it 30 years ago. It has to have at least 20,000 rounds through it. I replaced all its springs once. I just ordered a new set for it. I did install a fiber front sight and a peep sight in the rear. Shortly after I bought it I stripped and restained and Tung oiled the stock. Other than these things she is all factory.

Both photos are indoor shots I took tonight. Maybe I will get an outdoor photo in the next couple of days.

Love it. Wish they would stop chintzing out on materials, especially ruger. I think people would appreciate and pay a lio extra for the metal trigger components and barrel bands, etc...

I agree. I bought my grandson a 10/22 Takedown for Christmas a couple of years ago. I was surprised at the plastic pieces that used to be metal. It was a bit of a turn off.

Yeah, people hate that. I bet there would be alot less people emptying their pockets out on aftermarket parts if manufacturers put a few more dollars into the product and people felt like they were getting a quality rifle to begin with. Maybe not....

Funny that; having thrown money at aftermarket numerous times, I doubt I’d have purchased any of those firearms if the original price were what I spent. Sounds crazy and irrational, I know, as I knew before the purchase I would make the upgrades.

Imagine though a $775 basic M&P...people would laugh at S&W without noticing better sights and trigger, but sell it for $500 and it competes.

this is a 10/22 brother from another mother...Thompson/Center performance Center target model 10/22 clone.
Here are factory stock 10/22 Collector #3 and T/CR22 along with KSA 16.5" bull barrel ready for installation.

Chargers have long been my favorite 10/22’s. These two, in particular, are seeing a lot of use for my son and I, reaching out to 300-500 yards. Nothing fancy, just a couple of “limited edition” Chargers, one in stainless and laminate, the other cerakoted in a polymer grip, with a couple of high magnification riflescopes up top.
