My long term goal is to be one of y’all who find a gun every so often that you’d forgotten about. You know who you are…you guys who have so many that you can’t keep track, and every so often, you find a gun like some of us find a few loose dollars in a seldom worn jacket…
:)

But, the poll doesn't identify WHO.

That’s true but some of our appointed domestic terrorist government workers will know exactly which number you selected and everything else you posted online ever. And then WE get labeled domestic terrorist if we don’t agree with the school board. AND if you have 37!!!guns!!!!:what: OMG!!!:what:

I’m not at all picking on you or trying to argue but we’re probably getting all kinds of misleading poll results because many of us don’t trust the tech expert radicals.

I stumbled upon an on-line auction, first part of this summer.

Out of curiosity, was looking at their upcoming auctions and seen an Estate Sale. It was 3 auctions on 3 continuous days.

Now my curiousity is exploding. I "click" on the first auction. This gentleman's auction had 388 guns LISTED. I wondered if their were families that got anything.

He had old and new, every maker, every style, every caliber, every price point. Nothing to pinpoint a specific like.

Day 2 was 400 lots of sundries; scopes, mounts, bi-pods, cases, stocks, barrels, binocs, holsters, mags, speed loaders. Again, no rhyme or reason.

Day 3 was 400 lots of ammo; rimfire, handgun, rifle, and shotgun.
2 specific standouts
1. 12k rounds of .357mag, most in 200-500 round bundles, every manufacturer and loading available
2. 2000 rounds Weatherby .30-.378, which he had 1 rifle auctioned the first day, untried. Many of the guns auctioned were untried. Many were still in factory box, with the display display stickers on them.

The dude had serious bucks and a wicked addiction. Would have loved to spend some time talking with him.

My standard answer is "more than I need, less than I want." I see a lot of that same sentiment here :)

Don't know, I shoot a few and rarely shoot others. There are guns I want and guns I'd never sell. I really like revolvers , still wanting a bfr in 500 jrh. Oh well.

I answered based on the highest number I've ever had at one time (I think that number is right around 60.) I am not stating how many I have now.

As noted in post 34.... I had a auction.... nothing left worth talking about...

I suspect most gun people don't like to say how many guns they have because then they have to deal with the next inevitable question: "Well, how come you need so many?"

It's an easy answer to give. At one point I went from a Gun Owner to a Gun Collector. It's even true! ;)
