Want to see some SBR/Pistol pictures. This was my attempt at a MK18 ish kind of build. It's an 11.5" (not a 10.3") and has a fin so those are two strikes against it but all in all I'm happy with how it came out. PSA 11.5" Nitride bbl upper, Spikes Honey Badger Lower, Armaspec 45° Ambi Safety, mil spec trigger, BCM GF CH, Surefire G2L weapon light, Angled foregrip, single point sling, Magpul grip, A2 birdcage, Quad rail, etc... I initially had the broomhandle style VFG and liked it better but I'm not entirely comfortable with it, already feel like I'm skirting the boundary with the AFG so.... I might put it back because the OAL is G2G.

Here is a pic of the Mk18 SBR I was trying to clone, a few differences but I basically followed the basic template....

T.Rex Arms Build: IMG_20211124_160817.jpg

My Build: IMG_20211124_155709.jpg just need to put an Aimpoint Pro on it and it will be good to go but honestly I like the light weight of it with just the flip up rear iron... That will require a lil more thought and consideration.

7.62x39, Roscoe 10.5" barrel, DPMS slick side upper, strike industries short pistol buffer tube and j2 compensator, boyds furniture. Kind of a mash up of AR and AK was what I was going for.

Wow. Not something ya see everyday. Cool pistol. You didn't brace it to make it more compact or that's the look you were going for or?

Thank you. Both reasons really. I suppose I could mount a brace to it, if I change my mind. Havent gotten to shoot it yet, the duracoat just finished fully curing. Its light weight and snag resistant. Very handy, though impractical for most things. Its just a range toy essentially.

My next AR pistol will be built on an AR18 upper so there will be no buffer tube at all.

OK:
My first (recent ) build:
AR pistol.jpg
CDNN 7" upper, Anderson lower, Bushnell red dot, SB Mini brace. I did put a linear compensator on it before I fired it, and it was still a bit too much. Gave this one to my younger son.

The second build, as originally built. Palmetto 10.5" upper, Alex Arms Nickel Boron BCG, Anderson lower, SBa3 brace, MOE grip. I liked this one, but the problem was SWMBO did too. SO, I built another 10.5" on my last Anderson lower, but then........
AR3.jpg

I saw the lower pictured here at a gunshop near here, and I had a few extra bucks, so I got it, and did some reshuffling. The receiver is from 17 Design and manufacturing, and has the folder built in.
AR2.jpg

Bear Creek 10'5", I put the Alex Arms BCG in this one, and the Bear Creek BCG in the other one, put the MOE grip on here, the other one has an A2 grip for now, both have Crimson Trace red dots, and AR Stoner linear compensators. This one fits in a back pack.
Here's how the other one looks now:

I have a complete lower (in parts) that I planned on giving to a young man I coached in 4-H Shooting, he bought an upper and wants me to help and observe his first build, but he's in college, and hasn't got back to me since seeing him at his brother's wedding in July. I keep seeing Palmetto and Bear Creek are dropping the price on 16" uppers. If he doesn't get back to me soon........

10.5" is nice. Not sure if I'd want to go shorter in 5.56 without a suppressor. I could go shorter with 300blk or 9mm personally.

I'm trying to find a pencil barrel 14.5" p&w upper with an A2 FSB to build up a KISS lightweight carbine.
