Am I expecting too much from Lee

Lee is kinda like harbor freight tools. Redding is like snap on. RCBS is S&K.

Harbor freight is an importer of mostly Chinese tools......not a manufacturer. Hence their name Harbor in......Freight around the country. Lee? An American manufacturer of American Made products. So not so good a comparison. Maybe "Craftsman" is a better fit. mostly great tools....some mediocre.

That used to be but not any more.

Most of good to better quality tools (Wrenches, sockets, etc., especially power tools) are now made in Taiwan with less and less made in China. Lower quality tools are shifting to India and Vietnam. I am even starting to see made in Israel and USA.

When I get an odd ball caliber I go to Lee first and so far I've been satisfied. When you don't shoot a lot of 25 acps, 32 S&W or 9mm Makarov why spend money on a premium set. They also carry dies for .577 Snider and 577/450 Martini Henry.

They require a receipt for their warranty. Not the same with the better brands. I don't know about you but I don't keep receipts for small items. Beside the thermal paper turns blank after a few years.

Yeah, hate thermal paper going blank ... but that's so 80s/90s.

Like many other businesses that have gone "paperless", Harbor Freight allows receipts to be emailed so you can keep them electronically in "Receipts" folder. Also, if you become their "Insider Club" member, they can look up the receipt under your account.

Just another LEE bashing thread, surprised the Dillon gang has not shown up?
Plus we still don't know what the bullets look like?

Been using Lee dies for years, I never experienced marks like you have on your reloads.

Hey, I am already here.

But since I am a Lee fanboy too, does that count?

When I had to liquidate over 90% of my reloading equipment in anticipation of move out of state in with my aging parents, out of 15 presses, I kept Dillon 550C and Lee ABLP but it's ABLP that I approach more to do my bulk of reloading tasks now due to many features 550C lacks.
