CZ shotgun question...

Yes. CZ makes good stuff.

If that is the model I think it is the ejectors are magnetic. Near little feature to keep from dumping shells when crossing a fence or tying a boot, whatever causes you to crack the action in the field besides reloading. I have been considering the SxS version for a vintage feel waterfowl gun but have yet so see any in person.

I just returned from a pheasant hunt in SD. I borrowed a 12 ga CZ 1012 for the hunt. It performed much better than I did. Based on the performance of this gun, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a CZ O/U. They are made in Turkey by Huglu.

My CZ Bobwhite 20 arrived a couple weeks ago. Very good quality for the price IMO, so far anyway.
I have a 20ga Drake O/U on order.

For a low round count gun, a CZ or other Turkish O/U may be fine. I don't want one for high round count shooting, because of parts availability, especially further down the road.

I love my CZ rifles and pistols, not their shotguns though. I’ve owned two semi’s, purchased one and had another one given to me. Both had the heaviest triggers I’ve ever encountered. Being Turkish doesn’t factor in to my dislike, I have two Weatherby shotguns I’ve been pleased with and my daughter has one that has never hiccuped.

I have two. One had to be retuned and CZ-USA had a replacement in the mail in less than a week. It’s a good gun for the money, backed up with excellent customer service.

The all-terrain series is pretty sharp looking guns I saw the redhead and asked to handle it , I liked it but I had a beretta on the counter I was in the process of buying , liked it so much I will take a second look when I get back home . your not going to be disappointed with CZ ,I own several ....I know they will stand behind their products too. On the CZ All Terrain I believe it is actually the chambers that are magnetized. The purpose is to hold the shells in when the gun is open. If you have ever loaded a break action shotgun in a cramped duck blind you will understand the advantage.

Important to note that most shotshells have steel bases and some are only brass washed. I can think of only one brand of hull that has actual brass bases. That being said the magnetic (insert correct part) is supposed to be strong enough to hold hulls in place while the gun is open and held upsidedown but weak enough that when it flicks open on an empty the hull still goes flying. I've never messed with it but seems like a good quality of life improvement to me.

And now SwampWolf and I both know the advantage of magnetic chambers. I have done my learning for today...lol Thanks guys!

The CZ guns are good field guns and value for money in that regard. They have substantially improved Huglu quality over the last decade and with CZ customer service all should be well.

I've got a CZ/Huglu Hammer Classic side-by-side and shoot the hell out of it. In a single day, I've shot two rounds of sporting clays (30 shots per round), four rounds of skeet and a round of 5-stand. After two years, it's as tight as the day it was new, which is pretty tight.

I expect CZ to stand behind it if their name is on it, irrelevant of subcontractor.

The CZ shotguns are up to CZ's standards. I would not hesitate to buy one. Matter of fact, I've been eyeing up the 20 & 28 ga. Bobwhite.

They are Earth Magnets....they hold the shells in the chambers when the action is open....kinda cool- ....bend over to pick up a bird and you won't drop live rounds on the ground!
