Diabolo: intended use? For discussion

My gun’s main intended use is to put a smile on my face & the Diablo does exactly that. I got one of the first batch produced & waited many weeks before delivered. Solid built with good fit/finish & can be loaded from mild to wild as you want to go. I’ve been shootin’ .73 lead round balls that pack a hell of a wallop. Want to try & hit a clay out the air too but haven’t tried it yet.

How would you evaluate recoil?

I am such a good shot bird hunting is boring anymore. Maybe this would put some challenge back into the game!

LOL!!!!

Then I'm thinking that 100 grains might put a dent in one's forehead. I recommend it.

This guy takes the loads up to 150 of FF, 125 grains of FFF & lives to tell the story-the guns are solid but I’m not going there.

Wow, takes a lot of powder to get that short of a barrel to perform. I was impressed that 150 grains under the ball was still manageable, recoil-wise. I think I'll take back everything I said about it possibly being a crack-head gun. I'm liking it more and more.

These handheld double devices have recently caught on in rural NW. CA. - usually among lib ladies who live alone in mountain lion country. It will usually be the first and only gun in the house. Most of these people were antigun - until they weren't. Seems like a practical solution for those who are otherwise non-shooters.

LOL, I can just see some old Hippie Woman up in the hills dealing out hippie death magic with one of those. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DANG! DOUBLE DANG!!!!

Certainly a practical solution as long as they get some training and instruction, and some regular target practice. !!!

You nailed the demographic, Sauce. Cat ladies and ageing leftists. Twelve cats and a weed grow. Birkenstocks. Something like a bobcat or puma snags a cat and suddenly they're ready to unleash hippy hell and the wrath of Gaia. These folks are not really firearm people. They won't practice and don't even like guns. It's all fear based.

Those people probably won’t even know this exists. They’ll use a pump twenty gauge. I’m really surprised it can achieve 1000 FPS with any amount of powder. 11” isn’t much of a runway to gain speed… oh well. We live in America and we don’t need no damn reason to own any size, type or quantity of firearms…

I just can't see that crowd taking the time to learn how to load and shoot BP.
Too busy smoking weed.
