Hot dang, that's some fine shooting in my book, better than most of my targets look! (Unless there's about 20 shots that didn't make the paper. :rofl:) Is that one handed or two handed shooting there?

I'm guessing that's with round ball? I've always used anywhere from 15-20 grains of OE with round ball, I find 20 to be the best, but maybe I ought to give 25 a chance. I use 17 grains I think with my conical paper cartridges, I'm not sure I could even fit much more than that with those bullets. So far that has been by far and away my best load. In all seriousness, I can usually get most of my shots on paper with the conicals at that range. Round ball is hit or miss (literally) for me unless I move up a little closer.

I took the Navy out today at 20 yards off hand.

25 grains of OE seems to be the perfect load for this little .36

Enclosed is my target.

Whats your favorite load in your navy?

I find excellent accuracy and power with 25 grains OE

Nice shootin' there Blackpowderwarrior!! I haven't shot my Navy yet but based on your load I will begin there when I do. Nice looking avatar. That looks like the London? Thank you.

.375 round ball abd one handed duelist style.

The gun is super accurate brother. A real tac driver

I like chamber full loads (30gr) of 4F with a deformed .380 diam round ball crammed on top. Not very accurate but sure is fun...
:eek::eek::eek:

Plus it gets some folks panties in a wad.
If you like 30 grains of powder in your navy, try using Pyrodex P. 30 grains easily loads in a 36 and doesn’t deform the ball. It’s more than I prefer, but it is interesting to shoot once in a while. 25 grains is my preferred load.

Beautiful Navy! I love the London model, though I don't own one yet.. that steel trigger guard is a nice quality upgrade.

I enjoy my standard Pietta Navy, from 2018. It had perfect accuracy right out of the box! I had to fluff&buff the action to make it reliable though, the timing was a bit off and the overpowered cylinder lock flat spring was peening the cylinder. New cylinder, wire spring for the cylinder lock, and a bit of filing on some parts, and it's flawless!

I usually shoot round ball with 20gr of GOEX (at least for now, RIP GOEX).... or Colt 127gr conicals over 17gr. As long as my reloading is consistent, I can keep them all on paper at 100 yards!

28 grains, since it returns better ballistics. For a .36, loading the chambers as full as they can go is barely more than adequate.
