Well, here are a cpl of mine. The New Frontier .22/.22 Mag is a recent acquisition...didn't get a great deal on it but still below gunbroker prices. It's fun, but not as accurate as the several Ruger Single Sixes we've owned over the years.

The 2nd is a Diamondback .22. Really a nice handgun with a good SA trigger, but the DA mode has the stacking feel so evident with Colt DA revolvers. Accuracy is ok with selected .22's, but not in the same league as my Smith M-18. I'll readily admit however that the DB's lighter weight is very nice...sort of half way between a J & K frame Smith. The pic shows it with a Smith M-18.
Regards, Rod

ere View attachment 1048699 View attachment 1048700 Here are some of my Colts. I got the Cobra 6 years ago for $100. The DS which has a hole in the barrel and a big Hex bold leaded into it was thrown in for free as a parts gun. I have since gotten the DS barrel replaced and it is now functional. Still need an ejector rod for it. The Cobra needs an ejector rod head. Sure wish I bought more of the 1903s. They were a great bargain for 20+ years. IMO it's one of the best handguns of all time.
It's interesting that you got a Cobra with checkered walnut grips absent the lil silver medallion. Does anybody know about these stamped logo'd grips. Your cobra is the first I've seen like this.....? Cool though.
Something about being in the right place at the right time.
I can't begin to tell you how much the above has had to do with the success I've had in my life. Even more so with the amount of fun.

Well, I can't fool any of you with the Astra/Colt licensing boondoggle. I knew Jimbo80 would have the answer. Now I am wondering if Colt licensed any more of it's products to foreign manufacturers, other than wartime emergency deals.

They briefly had a joint production deal with CZ to build the Z40 pistol- long before CZ actually bought them out.
