First gun of 2022?

3rd gun of 2022, S&W Model 10-14.

I haven't bought one this year, yet. I sold several early in 2020 and I'm sitting on the cash waiting on prices to stabilize. I'm really thinking hard about ordering a Nighthawk 1911.

300 blackout. Stag lower. 10.5" Aero upper. Aero NiB BCG. Vortex Strike Eagle 1x6. Burris P.E.P.R. INNIX 45° offset sights. AAC SDN-6.

I'm concurrently working on another AR build. I just ordered a Shilen 20" barrel and bolt for it and I'm looking at a Grey Ghost matched upper/lower. The 300 Blackout should keep me entertained this winter but this next AR15 will be for mucho summer fun and I'm more excited about that than this. But this will be fun too.

Scored a Ruger SR1911 Commander for $475! It was a retired range rental from one of our LGS. Wasnt shot alot because they haven't been able to get much .45 ACP over the last 2 years and when they did, few renters wanted to pay for it........
Their loss, my gain.

PTR Inc. bought the German HK production tooling from Portugal.

Also saw one of these in the Smaller…of the Two….gun shops in Cordova TN —yesterday.

Sidenote: That shop also has a new FAL by DSA (!).

Beautiful! Here's the one I just picked up. No guns for me in 2021, so I had to get an early start in 2022 This one is full size in .45acp. Wasn't planning on buying yet, but saw this on the used rack for $720 and it followed me home. Gonna be a while before I can shoot it though as this is a new caliber for me. Nobody has the ammo on the shelf, it costs a fortune where you CAN Find it, I still need to buy dies, shell plate, components, etc. Panics are a bad time to add calibers to the stable.

This is the one I referenced in post #83. I bought the PSA 6.5 Grendel upper intending to put it on an already-owned lower. That lower had a crappy mil-spec trigger, so I jumped on a Lantac E-CT1 on sale at Primary Arms. Then PSA had a Shot Show special on the complete lower. I had the scope and bipod; just needed the bipod adapter. Installed the new trigger ... et viola! New rifle in 2022. I have said farewell to two, though, so I'm down one net.

Looks like my first is going to be a cerakoted AR15 in 6.5Grendel. Pics will get posted in the rifle section once it's complete.

I ordered a black Taurus G3c ($249, 12+1, 9x19, w/ 3 mags) from Rural King on 24Jan and just drove there (80mi roundtrip) yesterday morning to pick it up (along with a couple hundred pounds of corn for my deer-friends).

Have not fired it yet. Disassembled, cleaned and inspected. Must say that I am (so far) impressed with this pistol.
